Mentor Training Platform of $100k Available for International Student in Australia

International students play an essential role in the increase in the Australian economy. Many efforts are made by the government to ease the international students to carry with their educational and professional life successfully.

The Vygo Program

The Vygo has launched one such training. It has committed that the company will spend 100,000 AUD for international students to train their educators to be good mentors! The goal of the company is to increase the capability of the mentors to bring success to the mentees!

This training will cater to both international students and Australian students. The Mentor Academy, in collaboration with Vygo, will launch it in 2020 January. It is free training and available publicly to aid the students’ mentors to develop a skill set of proper mentorship that leads to the success of the students ultimately.

The co-founder and chief executive said that they would focus on the mentors to polish themselves to bring innovation in their education style further. He also added that the mentee’s success lies in the ability of the mentor to convey what is required productively.

The training platform allows educators to go online gel hold of highly skilled training and understand the know how’s of a mentor. It will let the educators know their responsibility well so that they could transfer it to the students in a much engaging way!

Aim of this Program

The training platform aims to educate the mentors to look in-depth the capabilities of the students, their employability skills and experience, and their mental stability too. The key focus will be industry mentoring, international.student mentoring, and first-year mentoring, where the educators will be trained and given expertise.

The co-founder Hallet also stated that the reason for launching this training is the experience of his and the co-founder Joel Trapani pf.mentoring the refugee students in Brisbane at the University of Queensland.

The Australian International students can rest assured that their mentors are now well trained to develop the skills of their pupils to attain the goal of their lives!

 Currently, the Mentor Academy focuses on training the mentors to look into the educational and mental backgrounds of the students.

The next stages of the academy will be focusing on promoting the global reach and accessibility of the students. Not only that, they aim to look into mentoring the educators in the programs that subject-specific.

They want to train the mentors in cultural contexts too to ensure that the trainees get polished to let the cultures merge. It will aid the students who come from abroad to study in Australia settle in quickly. The other stages are going to be in progress after July 2020.

It is a good step by the Vygo and Mentor Academy to let the mentors meet the requirements of the mentees by increasing their capability, to understand them in every aspect!
