Canadian PR: Claresholm, Alberta Launches Applications for Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot

The Program To Drive Immigrants into Claresholm, Alberta

Claresholm, Alberta is a small town located in Canada. It has been a place that needs a lot of development. That is why the township there decided that the applications for the immigrants for settling up in the town should be rolled out. This brought the birth of applications for rural and northern immigration pilot program.

The applications were rolled out on Feb 11. Claresholm is located an hour and a half drive away from the south of Calgary. The town is open for allowing 20 immigrant families to come and settle up in their land. Those 20 families will be eligible for permanent residency in the year 2020.

This town in western Canada is the latest community which has decided that it will open its gates for the immigrant families. The five communities now including this town as well, which are allowing immigrants to gain permanent residency in the land are mentioned below:

Altona/Rhineland, Manitoba
Brandon, Manitoba
Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario
Vernon, B.C.
Claresholm, Alberta

This rural and northern pilot program is launched in efforts to oversee and help the communities which are struggling with man/labour shortages by skilled immigrants. This brings us to an essential question on the immigrants.

Here is all you should know about the immigrants who are going to live in the town. Immigrants who will acquire a full-time job with one of the local employers in one of the towns mentioned above can stay.

Actually, as of now, there are still six communities remaining in the program which are yet to start accepting applications. The names of those cities are mentioned below:

North Bay, Ontario
Sudbury, Ontario
Timmins, Ontario
Thunder Bay, Ontario
Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan
West Kootenay, British Columbia

How Does the Program Work?

If you are someone who is planning to push an application, there are things that you should first know to be accepted. The candidates who wish to apply with the help of RNIP should have to meet the prerequisites set by the Federal Government’s eligibility requirements.

Eligibility Requirements

If you don’t have working experience, you are likely to be rejected. A minimum of 1-year work experience is required in case you want to get accepted. In addition to this, you also have to get education requirements and provide the government with proof that you will be able to support yourself financially by submitting an income and funds proof.

These are just of the few basic requirements that you have to fulfil. As you go ahead, you will also have to complete a lot of formalities.

Once you are done with meeting the federal requirements, you have to create a profile on the Claresholm RINP Portal. After this, you, as a candidate, can apply for the various jobs which are available on the portal. But the catch is, you cannot apply for than three jobs at a time.

For applying for another job, you will have to withdraw one of your three active applications from the portal. One thing that you should always remember is that you have to have the right image for yourself. So don’t go on about applying for the job roles which you don’t understand.

Only apply for jobs that match your experience and level of education. Once you receive a job confirmation from one of the towns, you are eligible to become a permanent resident of the Claresholm town. But you will still need to apply for a work permit when your application is processed.

Settlement Funds

Candidates must prove they have enough money to support themselves and family members while they get settled in their community. This includes family members who may not be coming to Canada.

Candidates already working legally in Canada are exempt from settlement fund requirements.

Is It Easy To Obtain Permanent Residency?

It won’t be too hard for you if you have a favourable resume behind you. People with experience on their hands will be valued a lot since the town is currently in the growing phase.

In addition to all this, you must have an excellent civil background as well. People with a criminal history won’t be able to get permanent residency in any manner. Fairly assessing the process, it is one of the easiest ways to get the permanent residency of a big country such as Canada.
