Manitoba’s Immigration Ministry has announced another invitation to 249 immigration candidates with an Expression of Interest profile who are interested in working and studying in Canada. It is second EOI draw of the month, Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) inviting skilled workers and international graduates both in the province and abroad for the permanent residential visa in Canada.
MPNP has made a total of 249 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) under the various stream to the highest-scoring candidates from the pool. The distributions are divided into three categories:
- Skilled Workers in Manitoba: 192
- Skilled Workers Overseas: 34
- International Education Stream: 23
MPNP Invitations to Express Entry Candidates
In the total of 249 invitations of Manitoba province’s latest draw, 22 applications were gone forth to express entry registered candidates. MPNP pathway is linked to the federal government’s Express Entry system, which are the main source immigrants that manage three applications of economic immigration categories-
- Federal Skilled Worker Program,
- Federal Skilled Trades Program, and
- Canadian Experience Class.
In this express entry pool, candidates will get the point through the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). Points will be awarded express profiles based on human capital factors like age, education, work experience, language proficiency, etc. Only those candidates who have the highest-scoring profiles will be invited to submit an official application for Canadian permanent residence.

Candidates who are successfully nominated through MPNP will be given a score by the EOI Ranking system, which guarantees an invitation to apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residence.
To be considered for Manitoba EOI draw, interested candidates of Express Entry must have a minimum experience of six months of full-time work in one of the Manitoba In-Demand Occupations among other conditions. They are also required to submit a separate Expression of Interest (EOI) with the province.
Expression of Interest
After registering an Expression of Interest (EOI) with the MPNP, Express Entry aspirants are invited for a provincial nomination from Manitoba through both the Skilled Worker in Manitoba and Skilled Worker Overseas categories.
Expression of Interest (EOI) for express entry is an online profile that is ranked from a score of 1,000. In this, scores are based on education, work experience, connections to Manitoba and proficiency in English or French, among other factors of the candidates.
The highest-scoring candidates receive a specified number of Letter of Advice, allowing them to apply for a provincial nomination for PR from Manitoba. In the draw, the candidate with lowest-rank are invited below skilled workers in the Manitoba category had a score of 545 points.
Skilled Worker Overseas and Skilled Worker in Manitoba
The skilled labour migrant of the MPNP allows the MPNP to select and enrol skilled foreign workers who can support Manitoba’s labour market. Candidates must also have the support of a close friend, relative or an attending a Strategic Recruitment Initiative who has been a resident of Manitoba for at least one year. Their presence is not necessary in Manitoba at the time of application to qualify.
MPNP’s skilled workers in the Manitoba Stream are employing for temporary foreign workers and international graduate students in Manitoba with previous work experience, full-time jobs in the province. It evaluates the profiles of qualified candidates placed in the Manitoba Expression of Interest (EOI) pool and scores them out of 1,000.

Manitoba International Education Stream
The new International Education Stream (IES) for Manitoba graduates with in-demand skills can be invited under the International Education Stream. This stream includes three sub-categories:
- Career Employment Pathway
- Graduate Internship Pathway
- International Student Entrepreneur Pilot
This section targets eligible international graduate students who have completed education from post-secondary institutions in Manitoba. Students who wish to go with this profile for MPNP enrollment can submit Expression of Interest (EOI) to MPNP. Candidates can rank in the express entry pool with credential factor such as work experience, language proficiency, connections in Manitoba and more. Only higher-scoring candidates receive LAAs through regular draws.
