Wage exploitation can be regarded as a significant issue that international students can face in Australia. This issue is sufficient to affect their mental wellbeing and affect their educational purposes by negatively impacting their regular lives. This is why the Hub is highly concerned about this matter and is intended to prevent international students from facing this issue.

Low accommodation standard is another issue that international students can face. To ensure students’ healthy physical and mental well-being, it is essential to ensure that they have obtained good accommodation and supply adequate food and health-related facilities. The concerned Hub has been able to understand the same, and that is why they are showing interest in solving the poor quality of accommodation-related issues of international students.

Apart from that, they are showing interest in providing students with a voice and space in the city so that their living experience in Australia gets positive. By considering Diana Olmos, the international student community organizer in Sydney Alliance, it has been possible to understand that the main aim of the Hub is to ensure that international students are getting positive experience in Australia experience is life-changing.

The person is a former international student from Colombia, and this experience has helped the person understand what kind of problems international students can face. This experience is working to help the person properly set the Hub’s objective so that all of the key difficulties of international students can be taken care of in the proper manner. In the following section, a detailed discussion regarding the Hub is going to be elaborated.

A detailed discussion regarding the international student hub

At the time when the matter comes to making a detailed discussion regarding the Hub, it becomes important to state that it is not just a place where students can share their problems. It is a place where people are engaged in capacity building.

For international students, capacity building is important as they require adequate capacity to deal with the cultural and language barriers they can face when studying in a foreign country. By considering this matter, the Hub is providing adequate attention to the capacity-building process.

Apart from that, the Hub is showing interest in social cohesion between people on citizens and visas. Here, leadership workshops and effective projects get conducted so that international students get the chance to enhance their experience in the city. In order to run the Hub and meet the objectives of it, some resources are required.

Now, the question is about the supplier of these resources. In the following section, a discussion regarding the supplier of required resources is going to be elaborated.

Supplier of the resources required for running the hub

Go Study Australia, an education agency, can be regarded as the main supplier of resources. It is providing 400 sqm of space and resources intending to host the Hub and the members of it. By considering the viewpoint of the Hub’s general manager, it can be stated that they are proud to donate a part of their student support space to the concerned Hub.

In this Hub, more than 50 action-driven people visit in a regular manner, and it enriches the culture of the Hub. This kind of culture of the Hub is effective enough to make several organizations interested in donating resources that can help the Hub to run in a successful way. The significance of the Hub in the current situation is going to be elaborated here.

The significance of the international student hub in this challenging phase

It goes without saying that this is a challenging phase for everyone as Covid 19 has shaken the world in a considerable way. In such a situation, international students are struggling to meet the living expenses. Apart from that, the funding sources from the home countries of students have also been impacted, and these challenges are putting international students in a great dilemma.

In such a situation, the support they are gaining from the international student Hub in Sydney can be effective and help them continue their study in Australia. It is a fact that international students are welcome in Sydney effectively, and they are being regarded as a part of the global talent hub in Sydney.

International students can enhance the vibrancy of Sydney and the livability of the place by contributing to the cultural diversity of the city. Apart from that, the international student community is found to play a vital role in strengthening the global connection of Sydney.

By considering all of these factors, the international student welfare hub of Sydney is working. In other words, it can be stated that these factors have influenced them to take such initiatives. It is expected that the Hub would be able to meet the sole purpose of it, and international students in Australia will be treated effectively.
