Accommodation

Accommodation is the first and foremost thing that is important when you plan to shift abroad. However, your accommodation completely depends on the university that you choose. You can get accommodation in dormitories or any of the student residences. However, if such is not the case, your university will help you find a suitable rent where you can stay properly.

Suppose the university that you have selected owns an ESN(Erasmus Student Network) section. In that case, they will help you in finding an accurate accommodation. You can do a thorough check at the list of the Hungarian sections on the official site of ESN.

You will not find any dormitory places in Szeged, but you will find an office called the “foreign students secretariat.” This will help you find accommodation, or you may even connect straight with the ESN section to get help. Here, the accommodation fees for a month will charge you within a range of 360-750 EUR. In Debrecen, you can get a dormitory place. This will cost you around 150-200EUR per month. In Pécs, you will get a large number of dormitory places that are exclusively designed for foreign students. This will cost you around 100-150 EUR per month.

In Budapest, you will barely find any dormitory places. However, you can check for rents, hostels, or a flat where few more students can accommodate and share the rent.

All the big universities of Hungary have their own ESN sections. Here, the charge of 1 room flat will cost you 320 EUR per month. However, if you gather more flatmates for one single room, those flats charge relatively less, starting from 170 EUR per month.
