US Vs UK University Education Benefits

In a globalized era, everyone runs to achieve the best from the life they are living. Education has become globalized too, and students are trying to go abroad for their studies. The international education requires high venture, so they look for value-added in overseas studies.

The education in countries like the US and UK gives a strong return on the investments the students make initially. The universities of the states, as mentioned earlier, are continuously counted in the top 50 around the world.

These universities provide the students with degrees that are of immense academic reputation, and academia has leading experts as their faculty members. The students in the universities are given a high profiled environment ranging from libraries filled manuscripts, laboratories where high-quality research is conducted, sporting facilities to exceptionally beautiful cafeterias. There are many differences in the education systems when one studies in the US and UK universities.

Length of Time:

The universities of the UK and US offer different degrees, and the time one can complete the program differs in both countries. The course of the program is shorter in the UK as they are more focused as compared to those of the US. The US takes one more year in the completion of the degree.

University Organizations:

The UK universities consist of colleges that are specified to the subject matter. You apply to the college of your subject directly rather than to the department of central university admissions like the US. The focus, in the UK, is on the chosen subject. The students get an excellent command on the subject of their interest.

Whereas in the US, you apply to the university and for the first and second year you study different subjects through which you get a good knowledge of the subjects. You only declare your primary subject at the end of the second year of your degree. This means that the US the subject knowledge of the students in varied and they get a broader spectrum of choice.

Grading System:

The US universities test their students by weekly or biweekly assignments, research, and presentations burdening the students together with the pressure of the final exam. Across the Atlantic Ocean, in the UK, students get very fewer assignments or none at all. All they have to focus on is their final exam. The exams are lectures based, which means students are more focused on understanding rather than cramming the assignments and presentations.

Cost:

The education in both states is far away from being called cheap, but comparatively the US has a higher cost than the UK. Studying in UK universities costs around $14,300 per year, whereas the universities of the US charge up to $29000 per year. So, it is still affordable to study in UK universities as compared to US universities.

Whether you go to the universities of the UK or the US, you will get the benefit while you are studying there. You will also enjoy the perks afterwards as a graduate of the top universities of the world.
