The new permits shall accept the students who have the proof of their means of financial support or the evidence of funding that they receive in the form of grants and scholarships.

The loosening of the funding requirement shall ensure that more students can have enough financial support to stay and study in Sweden. It is done to simplify the temporary movement between different EU countries.

In 2020, the individuals who already own the permission for study or residence in a different EU state can stay and complete a part of their research or studies in Sweden.
