Study at Livingstone Christian College

Livingstone Christian College is an education centre that offers a holistic approach to learning and development for children. With education opportunities starting from pre-primary till trade training, children grow in an environment which focuses on overall development and not just academic excellence.

Registered as the Christian Communities Ministries Ltd. Livingstone Christian College aims to offer students an environment based on Christian values. It is a CRICOS registered education provider which enrolls students from kindergarten to Year 12 and for vocational excellence programs as well as trade training programs.

Learning programs in the school are categorized in the following groups:

• Early Learning – Pre-preparatory
• Primary – Preparatory to Year 6
• Secondary – Year 7 to Year 12
• Vocational Excellence – for students in Year 10 to Year 12
• Trade Training

Vocational Excellence is an additional course of practical learning available for the children of Year 10, 11 and 12. The aim of this course is to provide the students with special skills which can be utilized in specific industries and work sectors.

This program is designed to offer flexibility in terms of the school day. As a result, the students who undertake this program have the capability of easily joining the work environment once they complete Year 12.

The trade training program currently offers training in boat building, hospitality and childcare. The motive of this training is also to provide students with the opportunity to join the workforce when they leave school. 

Requirements

1. All students are required to submit verification of English proficiency. If an appropriate proof of English proficiency is not submitted, then the school may consider assessing the student through additional tests to check English proficiency. English proficiency level for students applying in Year 10 or above are IELTS English testing score 5.5 for Year 10 and 11 and score 6.0 for Year 12. 
2. International students maintain the Overseas Students Health Cover for the period of the enrolment.
3. If the student is to live with parents or a guardian approved by the Immigration board, then the student’s family must complete form 157N and provide proof of relationship to the immigration department at the time of visa application.
4. Students must provide details of academic achievements in literacy and numeracy areas. Students taking admission in Year 7 and above should have a pass level or ‘C’ Year Level to be eligible for applying in the school. Students applying in Year 10 and above should also have a ‘B’ grade or above for maths. 

Enrolment process

• For international students, the application to enroll form is available on the website under the International tab. Complete the form accurately and submit it along with all necessary documents to prove the child’s educational qualifications, English proficiency, date of birth, and Homestay Application form (where required). If any of these documents are not in English, then you must include certified English translations as well. 
• The school authorities assess the application with careful attention given to the student’s performance in academics and extra-curricular activities. If the authorities are unable to come to a conclusive decision for an application, then the student may have to go through a test to assess the capabilities of the applicant. 
• If the College comes to the conclusion that the student is eligible for admission, then a Letter of offer for enrolment will be sent. 
• After completing all necessary documentation and paying the fees, a Confirmation of Enrolment will be sent. 
• If the student lives in college-approved accommodation, then the College will also generate the welfare letter (CAAW), which will be sent along with the Confirmation of Enrolment. 
• Student visa applications will require a Confirmation of Enrolment to process the application. 
• If the student is to live in the College approved accommodation, then Livingstone Christian College will generate the welfare letter, which will be provided along with the Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE).
