After securing the qualification marks for your 12th science examination, you can get one step closer to fulfilling your dream of studying abroad. There are several different countries which offer excellent opportunities for students who are looking to study abroad. If you are one of those students who wish to study in a foreign country after completing your 12th in science, then here is everything you need to know about it.

Eligibility Criteria for Application:

Every college or university will have a different set of eligibility criteria that students have to go through. However, here are the most common and main things to have to keep in mind:

  1. You have to pass 10+2 with Mathematics, chemistry, and physics (science subjects) and obtain over 75% in all exams.
  2. You have to obtain high scores on TOEFL, IETLS, SAT, or ACT.
  3. You have to have the financial background to be able to fund your studies and stay abroad, or you can apply for a scholarship or a grant, depending upon your results and your family’s financial background.

Test Requirements:

  • Minimum of 70-80% and above in 12th
  • The student should have completed 18 years of age
  • Proof of secondary school completion
  • Evidence of financial support
  • Scores of English language test (IETLS/TOEFL)

Steps to Apply Abroad After 12th Science:

The very first thing you need to do as a student is to secure eligible marks in your higher secondary science examinations in school. After completing this, you will have to sit for a series of examinations. Once you qualify these examinations, you will be able to use these test results to apply for an undergraduate degree abroad. You will also have to take the following steps:

  1. Sit for GRE, TOEFL, GMAT, or SAT. Make sure that you sit for these exams immediately after you clear your class 12th examination.
  2. Have good letters of recommendation from your teachers, coaches, or professors.
  3. Add a statement of purpose, or SOP, which can increase your chances of getting admission into foreign universities.
  4. It would help if you also had strong financial support from your parents to study and live abroad. However, students can also apply for grants and scholarships, depending upon their financial background and their merits.
  5. You need to submit a strong resume and cover letter, along with an essay along with your college applications.
  6. Make sure that you apply to your colleges 15 months before the deadline. This is extremely important as you don’t want to delay this important process.

Subjects You Can Study Abroad after Completing 12th Science:
