Step 1: A 4 Years Degree Course either from the USA or Canada

Step 2: Take the DAT test

You need to pass the DAT test to get admission to dentistry in the USA. It is a computer-based test with the following three sections: scientific information, academic ability, and perceptual ability. It is advised to take the DAT test at least a year before applying to dental colleges in the USA.

Step 3: Four Year DDS or DMD degree

Now, it is your call whether you want to pursue a four-year DDS degree or a DMD degree. Accordingly, you need to fill out the forms.

Step 4: Appear For The National Board Dental Exam

You need to appear for a written test which is known as the National Board Dental Examination. You need to pass this test if you wish to practice legally as a dentist in the USA.
