What International Students can learn from Steve Jobs?

Undoubtedly, Steve Jobs serves as a true inspiration for individuals who want to progress in their lives. Although he has died, his legacy still continues. As for international students, they require motivation to stay connected to their studies because they are away from their families.

The legendary life of Steve Job contains several lessons for international students, and they can truly follow his footsteps to begin the journey of success. As a co-founder of Apple, he did an incredible job. As a result of his effort and hard work, Apple is one of the leading four companies of the globe. His life is a case study for the generations.

Students can learn the following lessons from his exceptional life and career.

Management Skills

Steve Jobs along with his partner Steve Wozniak successfully managed the small team of committed engineers who developed Macintosh. With time, skilled and technical people started becoming part of his team due to his innovative style and ideas. The passion that he invested in his profession automatically made him the beacon for the other creative people, and they started getting attracted to his company.

By following this example, foreign students can develop enthusiasm in them and learn to manage small things in their daily lives. Once you have set your goals, all you need to do is to set small milestones and manage your tasks to achieve those milestones.

Also, in order to achieve bigger goals, self-organization and discipline are the fundamental elements. International students should consider the management of Steve Jobs as a guiding principle for them so that they could excel in their careers.

Do not settle for less

In our lives, many of us accept the things that are just good enough and do not strive further. This is only our mindset that keeps us away from making further advancement in our career after reaching a fairly acceptable level. Steve Jobs proved that continuous efforts, dedication and hard work take an individual to the new heights. In his interviews, he expressed that he was never afraid of failures and continued his journey with full confidence.

According to him, the element that kept him going was his inner desire and the love for his work. Steve Jobs passed the message to his followers “you need love for what you do in your life,” this exemplifies his commitment to growing. In his life, he taught students to do what they think is great work for them. Those who have not determined as to what is right for them, they need to keep looking and never settle until they find the best option for themselves.

Live with a Vision

Apple is the product of the job’s vision. His goal was not to make money, but his work provided him with monetary benefits. So, the students need to learn from him and develop a clear vision to get recognized. When you live with a vision, you are able to invest your time and energy with full commitment. Clear vision leads to positive outcomes.

Innovative Skills

Computers were available before Apple. Similarly, mp3 players and iPod had penetrated in the market. Steve Jobs, alongside his colleagues, closely examined the functions of these devices and worked hard to develop more sophisticated tools. They built stories, and from those, they built tools. From the music, Steve Jobs and his partners provided us with iTunes.

The main objective was to refine the design and give new shape and dimension to technology. His journey of innovation teaches students the lesson to strive for the best. The job came up with clear narrative; He insists, you should be able to explain what you are doing within thirty seconds. Apparently, it seems complicated, but if you manage to do so, you will realize that individuals will try to assist you.

Innovation may not necessarily mean a unique invention rather it also refers to the value that adds to the people’s lives. Jobs insisted that good design is like a good story, and it’s interactive. Students should try to adopt the path of innovation like Steve Jobs.

Legacy

When he decided to resign, several articles were written regarding the future of Apple; many people were of the view that Apple was not going to survive, but against all the odds, Apple held its ground in the market and grew even further. Keeping the success story of Steve Jobs in mind, students should always look for improvement in their work and closely analyze the devices.

Another very important lesson that you can derive from his life is that you can learn through your observation without relying solely on the books. If you work wholeheartedly, the world will remember you through your work. The marvellous innovation of Steve Jobs is keeping him alive even after his death.

Communication Skills

Throughout his life, Steve Jobs kept his focus on clear communication as he realized that communication is not just making telephone calls or the video chat. Keeping this in mind, he developed tools for communication between people and these are developed on the stories that people tell each other as they live their lives; that is why his products hold value, and now Apple is among the leading brands.

Steve Jobs is famous for making presentations right from the introductory part to the conclusion. In the same way, the student can learn to make compelling presentations so that they could engage the audience and comprehensively deliver their message.

Finally, all the students should regard him as a true legend who led by example. His success story is an inspirational guide for all the students across the globe. Steve Jobs was an individual who never wanted to become a teacher.

Yet, he taught the entire world the way of success and innovation. He conveyed a great message that our lives are the stories that we hear and tell, and out of them, we extract lessons. Students should apply their minds on everything they study and observe in their lives, and then try to be innovative by keeping the example of Steve Jobs in their minds.
