Spain Vs Italy: Where Should I Study?

Two of the most iconic countries in Europe are Spain and Italy. Both of these countries have their own beautiful culture, which you can get to explore once you are there. What makes these studies so good for students, though? Americans rate it as the best area to study after the UK.

Both Spain and Italy are filled with robust cities which have a lot of popular tourist destinations. When the weather is concerned, it is comfortable in both of these countries. And people love to get out on sunny days here because the heat doesn’t bite too much.

One fact which a lot of people do not know is that both these countries have most of the UNESCO world heritage sites in the world. So, it becomes a hard task to figure out which country you want to go to and study. Here are a few things that every student should consider before they make their final decision.

The Language

It is one of the essential factors which anyone has to consider. If the language of the place you are travelling to isn’t the one you want to learn or have any clue about it. In case you want to learn Spanish, you can go to Spain.

While in Italy, this is not a very common practice. It will be optional for you in most of the programs to learn Italian. Give this some thought because the language you learn will be put in your resume. It may help you to get a job faster.

Living

Popular Cities

One of the pros of both countries is that all of them offer a vast range of study opportunities in a lot of cities. There are Madrid and Rome in Italy, both of which have a great diversity of shops and opportunities for you to grow. Of course, there are also small towns and cities where you can go and have a peaceful experience in the country.

In addition to it, you will be able to look closely at how the tradition is followed in these places. You can enjoy from nightlife to luxurious museums. There are several UNESCO World Heritage sites which you can visit in any of these places.

Cost Of Cities

If you are worried about your budget, then you should know that the cost of living in Spain is higher compared to Italy. Percentage-wise, rent in Italy is 25% higher than what it is in Spain, but the other things are cheaper when talking about daily expenses.

The groceries will cost you around one third in Italy as compared to Spain. Even when you go out for eating, you will be spending much lesser in Italy on an average. But if you want Barcelona and Madrid.

Travel And Transportation

There are different modes of travel both in Italy and Spain, and the cheapest will be using buses in both countries. If you want to spend a little more money, you can go for travelling in private modes of transfer as well.

In case you can obtain a driving license in the country you choose, you can get yourself a second-hand two-wheeler. It will make your life easier in terms of travelling every day.

Cultures And Customs

Both countries are very different from each other. First of all, the language is different. Then the food, Spanish people like more spices in their food whereas Italian people love bread and cheese in almost everything. One of the problems that both of these countries are facing is of declining population.

While Italian people don’t like to be casual every time they present themselves to someone, Spanish people don’t care much about how they are looking. Dressing in code is more important for Italian people.

An interesting fact about Italy is that it was once considered as the centre of western culture. It is still a very much new country. Spain, on the other hand, has had a much dense history associated with it.

Things You Should Remember While Finalising a Program

Whichever country you choose, ensure that it is one of the countries which offer most of the things which you want. Check out the contents of the program you are choosing.

So that you can determine whether you are comfortable with doing everything present on it. If you find the arts more exciting, Italy has better colleges for you. But if you love business more, then you can go to Spain, they have better programs for that.
