University application process for Indian students

Getting the university admission letter

German student visa requirements for Indian students

To study in Germany as an Indian student, you require a study permit or a student visa, and to apply for a student visa, you need some of the essential documents, which are:

  • Proof of financial resources
  • Proof of health insurance coverage
  • University entrance qualification
  • Proof of language proficiency
  • German blocked account confirmation letter

After receiving your admission letter, you have to print it out and submit it along with all other documents to any german embassy located in your country.

You can look for recommendations for apartments in Germany online, or you can contact your relative or a friend who lives in Germany if you have to find a suitable apartment for you on rent.

Also, you can consider sharing your apartment with other students to lessen the burden of the total cost of accommodation in Germany as an international student. You can do that by joining online forums of Indian students in Germany and look for someone ready to share the apartment with you

Once you find yourself a perfect accommodation to live in, the first thing you have to do after is getting your address registered with the local authorities in Germany; without that, you won’t enrol in any of the German universities.
