British Columbia

The eligibility criteria for the express entry international candidate laid down by the provincial government of the BC are:

  1. Must have completed a degree, diploma, or any certification course from any of the universities in Canada within the last three years.
  2. Should be eligible for one of the federal economic immigration programs, i.e. federal skilled worker class, federal skilled trades class, Canadian experience class.
  3.  Must have full-time job experience at a skilled position according to national occupational classification
  4. Your wage rate must match with the BC wage rate for the designated occupation.
  5. Must meet the minimum language proficiency requirements laid down by the federal immigration program
  6. Also, your degree does not need to be specifically from the BC-based college or university.
  7. Manitoba

the provincial government of Manitoba offers an international education stream program under the Manitoba local nominee program, and the eligibility criteria for the same as follows:

Graduate internship pathways

The program is for those international students who have a master’s degree or a doctoral degree from any of the Canadian universities or colleges in Manitoba.

  • Master’s degree/Doctoral degree from Manitoba based college or university within last three years
  • The minimum language proficiency score required is 7
  • Must have a job offer from any of the recognized company in Manitoba
  • must have enough financial resources for six months
  • must be staying in Manitoba at the time of application
  • must have an intention to continue staying in Manitoba

Career Employment Pathways

this program is for those international students who have graduated now and have found long term employment in Manitoba

  • graduated within the last three years plus a minimum of one year of full-time work experience
  • minimum language proficiency score required is 7
  • must have a full-time job offer in hand from any recognized companies in Manitoba with a minimum of one year of the contract. The following job must be in the list of in-demand occupations list published by the government of Manitoba.
  • must have enough financial resources for six months
  • must be staying in Manitoba at the time of application
  • must have an intention to continue staying in Manitoba

Newfoundland and Labrador

The provincial government of Newfoundland and Labrador have introduced a program called “Newfoundland and Labrador international graduate” aimed at those individuals who have a postgraduate work permit and a job offer from a company of Newfoundland and Labrador

The eligibility criteria for the same as under:

  • Must have done half of the studies from the eligible public Canadian college or university
  • A two-year diploma or degree program with full-time study at the university or college is required
  • Must have a full-time job offer
  • Must have a legal post-graduate work permit
  • Must have to intention to continue staying in Newfoundland and Labrador
  • Must have enough financial resources for six months

Also, if you have done your degree from any of the universities outside of Newfoundland and Labrador, you might be asked to work in a job concerning your field of study for at least 1 year before applying for PNP.

Ontario

The international students with a masters degree from Ontario based college or university is eligible to apply for PR under the master’s graduate stream category for the Ontario immigration nominee program:

  • At least one year of study from any of the university in Ontario is required
  • Students who applied for scholarships that require you to go back to your home country are not eligible for this program
  • minimum language proficiency score required is 7
  • you must be staying in Ontario for a year
  • proof of funds that you can financially support yourself in Ontario
  • must have an intention to stay in Ontario, and you can prove that by showing a job offer, proof of owning property, having an academic history
  • must submit your application within two years of completion of your degree program

To be nominated by the Ontario government for permanent residency, you will have to apply online. Once you are assigned, you can proceed further by using the immigration, refugees, and citizenship Canada (IRCC).
