How to Apply For a Dubai Visa?

Magnificent, glittering skyscrapers, state-of-the-art structures, beautiful beaches, dunes; great restaurants; excellent all-inclusive hotel choices, shopping at Dubai Mall, and adrenaline-filled activities all contribute to Dubai being a terrific tourist destination to visit for a short holiday.

Dubai is one of the fastest developing cities in the UAE, and people from all over the world visit it, whether for a job or pleasure.

There is no disputing that Dubai has made a name for itself as a significant economic hub in the Middle East thanks to its thriving economy, luxurious lifestyle, and high quality of living.

Here, we look at the Dubai Visa procedure that visitors must go through to enter the city.

Types of Visa

  • 48-hour visa
  • 96-hour visa
  • 14 days Single entry short-term visa
  • 30 days Single entry short-term visa
  • 90 days visit visa
  • Multi entry long-term visa
  • Multi entry short-term visa

48-hour visa

This visa has a validity term of only 48 hours.

It is excellent for those who want to stay in the UAE for less than two days.

The visa has a 30-day validity term from the date of issuing.

96 -hour visa

This visa is ideal when you visit the country for four days or 96 hours.

Visitors choose the visa to the UAE for business meetings or as a stopover on their way to their next destination. The visa is valid for 30 days after it is issued. From the date of issuance, the visa is valid for 30 days.

Single Entry short-term visa

The 14-day single-entry short-term visa is non-extendable and is valid for two weeks, i.e., 14 days.

Individuals need this form of visa if visiting the country for a short period, whether for business or pleasure.

Single entry short-term visa(30 days)

The 30-day single entry visa to Dubai is valid for 58 days from the date of issuing. An individual can stay in the country for 30 days in a row with the help of a visa. Note that the visa is not extendable.

90 Days Visit visa

With this visa, persons can stay in the country for a longer time than with other visas.

The visa has a validity length of 90 days and is preferred for individuals visiting family or friends, attending business training, taking long vacations, and so forth.

Long-Term Multi-Entry Visa (90 days)

The long-term multi-entry Dubai visa is valid for 90 days. It can be used to stay in the UAE for an extended period. This visa allows holders to enter the country several times and wait for 90 days from the first entry.

Short-Term Multi-Entry Visa (30 days)

The multi-entry short-term Dubai visa is non-extendable and can only be used once within the visa’s validity period.

The visa is valid for 58 days from the date of issuing and can be used to remain in the UAE for 30 days from the entrance date.

It is crucial to note that once the multi-entry is used, it cannot be revoked.

Dubai Visa Eligibility Criteria

To be qualified for any of the visas granted by the government, the applicant must meet one of the following criteria:

Travel records:

Under this criterion, applicants who have traveled once in the previous five years to countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Schengen nations, the European Union, Australia, New Zealand, Russia, Canada, Switzerland, Japan, and others, or who have a valid visa for the countries, or who have proof of travel records in the previous five years to the UAE, are eligible to apply.

Financial records:

Candidates who do not qualify based on travel records must produce either Form 16 for the last two years or an Income Tax return for the same time with a minimum gross income from a business, professions, or employment of Rs.2 lakh per year.

Applicants may also present fixed deposits at banks or post offices totaling Rs.5 lakh or more.

Invitation from an immediate family member living in the UAE about family status:

This criterion allows spouses and children under the age of 21 or parents over 60 to be invited.

Newly married

If a recently married pair want to go to the UAE and the spouse’s name does not appear on the passport, the applicant must present a marriage certificate or a notarized affidavit on Rs. 100 stamp paper.

The newly married couple traveling soon after their marriage must present a No Objection Certificate from their parents, their identity papers, their wedding card, and the married couple’s image.

Dubai Visa Requirements

Visa Requirements for US Citizens

A US citizen with a standard passport does not require a visa to visit the UAE.

The following are the precise needs for the same:

  • The bearer’s passport must be signed, and its expiration date must be more than six months before the visit.
  • A confirmed round-trip ticket or a ticket to another nation
  • Citizens of the United States are eligible for visas upon arrival at UAE airports.
  • These criteria apply only if the individual intends to stay in the UAE for one month.
  • If a US citizen intends to stay for more than one month, he or she must apply to the immigration officer at the airport for permission.

Visa Requirements for Non-US Citizens

These requirements are for citizens of the following countries:

  • Slovakia,
  • Slovenia,
  • Northern Ireland (excluding British overseas citizens),
  • Liechtenstein,
  • Lithuania,
  • Finland,
  • France,
  • Germany,
  • Belgium,
  • Bulgaria,
  • Brunei,
  • Vatican,
  • Netherlands,
  • The United Kingdom,
  • Austria,
  • Bahrain,
  • Andorra,
  • Australia,
  • Denmark,
  • Estonia,
  • Greece,
  • Croatia,
  • Cyprus,
  • The Czech Republic,
  • Canada,
  • China,
  • Poland,
  • Portugal,
  • Qatar,
  • Romania,
  • Oman,
  • San Marino.

Residents of these countries will be issued a 30-day visa upon arrival at UAE airports. If the applicant desires to remain longer, he or she must apply at the airport’s immigration office.

Other requirements for obtaining a visa include:

  • A ticket to another nation or a guaranteed return ticket
  • Another condition is that the applicant’s passport does not expire within six months of arriving in the UAE.

Visas are issued to non-US nationals from the nations above based on all of the requirements above.

GCC Nationals’ Visa Requirements

GCC nationals are inhabitants of Gulf Cooperation Council nations, such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, and Bahrain, and do not require a UAE visa to visit Dubai.

Residents of GCC nations who are not citizens but work in high-level jobs are eligible for a 30-day visa at UAE airports.

These visas are not renewable and are given to those who work as doctors, engineers, public sector professionals, or managers.

Visa requirements for the remaining nations

Applicants from all other nationalities must have their visa applications approved.

They can apply through their respective embassies, UAE sponsors, or hotels in the UAE.

All of these are avenues for them to obtain a visa and visit Dubai without incident.

Required Documents

For Travel record

  • Passport must be authentic and have a minimum validity period of six months.
  • Photocopies of the first and last two pages in color, and the observation page, and valid travel records (if any)
  • He/she duly filled out the visa application form and signed it, along with a photograph.
  • Invitation letter from the host firm in the country (if applicable).
  • Emirates or Fly Dubai onward and return confirmed ticket in original and photocopy.
  • Visa fees are payable in cash, demand draft, or credit card.
  • Female candidates, students above the age of 18, and those traveling alone must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their parents/husband, including a picture ID of the parents/husband.
  • They must also submit a colored copy of the host’s passport or residency visa.

For Financial Records

  • He/she duly filled out the visa application form and signed it, along with a photograph.
  • Emirates or Fly Dubai onward and return confirmed ticket in original and photocopy.
  • Visa fees are payable in cash, demand draft, or credit card.
  • Invitation letter from the host firm in the country (if applicable).
  • Passport must be authentic and have a minimum validity period of six months.
  • Photocopies of the first and last two pages in color, including the observation page and good travel records (if any).
  • Income tax returns, both original and photocopied
  • Salary slips from the previous six months
  • Photocopy of the original PAN card and a photocopy of the fixed deposit receipt
  • Female candidates and students over the age of 18 who are traveling alone must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their parents/husband, including a picture ID of their parents/husband.
  • They must also supply a colored copy of the host’s passport or residency visa.

Invitation from an immediate family member living in the UAE about family status:

  • The host’s invitation letter, passport copy, and a copy of his or her valid residency visa in the UAE.
  • Emirates or Fly Dubai onward and return confirmed ticket in original and photocopy.
  • He/she duly filled out the visa application form and signed it, along with a photograph.
  • Passport must be authentic and have a minimum validity period of six months.
  • Photocopies of the first and last two pages in color, including the observation page and good travel records (if any).
  • Invitation letter from the host firm in the country (if applicable).
  • Visa fees payable in cash, demand draft, or credit card.
  • Female candidates and students over the age of 18 who are traveling alone must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their parents/husband, including a picture ID of the parents/husband.
  • They must also supply a color copy of the host’s passport or residency visa.

How to apply for Dubai Visa?

The Dubai Tourist visa application process is pretty straightforward.

It can be obtained using any of the two processes listed below:

Airlines

If you match their terms and requirements, the airlines may assist you with obtaining a tourist visa.

The visa through airlines is only available if the airline is located in the UAE and traveling with them.

Air Arabia, Fly Dubai, Emirates Airline, and Etihad Airways are among the airlines that may assist you in obtaining a visa.

Agencies and Hotels

A tourist visa to Dubai may be obtained through travel firms and hotels in Dubai. If you have made bookings with the hotels, they can assist you with the tourist visas.

If you have made your bookings through a travel agency, they can also assist you in obtaining the visa.

The visa may be obtained through registered agents and hotels in the UAE.

The visa can also be obtained via tour operators in your nation, but only if you are confident in the travel agency’s legitimacy.

The UAE embassy in your country can assist you in confirming the legitimacy.

Dubai Visa Photo Requirements

Individuals seeking a UAE visa must verify that their image adheres to the following guidelines:

  • The picture must be current (not more than six months old).
  • The picture should be colorful. Images in black and white are not permitted.
  • The picture should be shot in front of a bright background.
  • Images with dark backgrounds will be rejected.
  • The photograph should be of standard size (45mm by 35mm) (45mm by 35mm).
  • The image should not have any shadows.
  • It is advised that you remove your spectacles before snapping the photograph,
  • Unless recommended by a doctor, glasses should not be worn.
  • In the photograph, the eyes should be visible.
  • Individuals should refrain from wearing headwear in the photograph. Headgear is only permissible for religious purposes and must not hide the face.
  • The image should not be modified or pixelated in any way.
  • The face should not be angled in the shot.
  • A complete frontal image of the face should be shown.
  • The face should account for around 80% of the picture size.

Visa Status

It is pretty simple to check the status of your Dubai tourist visa.

All you need to do is look it up on the websites of the Ministry of Interior, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, Amer channels and websites, and so forth.

  • Rs.14,100 for a 90-day visit visa
  • Rs.34,300 for a multi-entry long-term visa
  • Rs.13,580 for a multi-entry short-term visa costs

Please keep in mind that after you have paid the visa costs, they are non-refundable under any circumstances.
