The body produces many types of hormones or chemicals. A steroid is also a chemical, generally known as a hormone that doctors prescribe to inflammation patients. Steroids are of two kinds; corticosteroids and anabolic steroids. These are produced in the body naturally, and medical experts have created them artificially for reducing inflammation.

If you have had a cut on your skin ever in your life, you must have observed your skin’s reddish part because of inflammation. To treat inflammation, steroids are quite helpful.

Importance of Steroids

People usually suffer from inflammation due to their frequent exposure to various places where they are overt to cuts, wounds, and infections. Bacterial or viral infections can also cause inflammation on your skin, eyes, and body parts.

Sometimes, inflammation occurs in the eyes, for which steroids are applied as an eye drop. On skin inflammation, creamy or gel-like steroids are used for treatments. Doctors also use steroids by injection into a joint or on the muscle where inflammation exists.

It is good if taken normally, but steroids’ excessive use will be like a snake in the grass.

Excessive use of it will cause the immune system to become weaker. Most of the people face stomach pains, acidity, and other related problems. Those who use steroids extensively get an extensive supply of oxygen, being enlarged in the body. That ignites you to eat extra food than a balanced diet. Also, you can have a high appetite for meals. In such a condition, the stomach cannot digest food easily, and you have to face indigestion.

Hepatitis B and C are found to exist in those persons who took steroids excessively to look beautiful or enlarge the body size. Such people have faced many health problems. It has been misunderstood at gyms, and the boys who are there for a workout try using it in much amount than necessary.

Sex is the basic human necessity as far as Sociology is concerned. Using steroids can result in a break up with your wife if you have lowered sexual health. Sex timing is affected by steroids if taken immensely.
