Cambridge International Declares the Results of AS and A level Tests for Nov 2020

Cambridge International released the Cambridge International AS and A Level results of its November 2020 series on Monday, an official statement read.

The results for more than 200 schools in Pakistan, covering a cross-section of institutions ranging from private schools to semi-government schools across the country, have been released.

This year, like most Cambridge schools worldwide, said they wanted to hold exams where it was safe to do so and followed government guidance, Cambridge International decided to run exams for its global November 2020 series.

Cambridge International has worked with educational authorities, governments, and schools worldwide to develop robust guidance for the safe and secure running of the November 2020 exam series.

The release of today’s findings means that despite COVID-19, thousands of Cambridge students across Pakistan, like their counterparts worldwide, can continue their educational journeys as quickly as possible.

Overall, more than 470,000 grades have been awarded to schools in 130 countries, increasing by over 20% compared to last year. This is partly because some learners have moved their entries to the November 2020 series from the June 2020 exams series.

Uzma Yousuf, Country Director for Pakistan at Cambridge International, said that students’ safety and enabling them to continue their education had been Cambridge’s key priorities during this difficult time.

“I would like to express my appreciation to all our Cambridge schools, teachers, and parents in Pakistan for their continued efforts to address the challenges posed by the pandemic, with such fortitude,” she said.

“Their hard work has helped students to continue their education, sit their exams, and gain their qualifications today, despite school closures and many other obstacles resulting from the pandemic.”

She said that examinations remain the fairest and best way to evaluate the achievements of students.

“I am also grateful to Shafqat Mahmood, the Federal Minister for Federal Education and Training, and to all the provincial education ministers for their support, which has enabled us to hold these examinations in Pakistan,” she added.

The November 2020 exam series by Cambridge International is more important than ever, with more than 175,000 students taking the exams around the world.

Cambridge International added extra subjects to the series, which are normally only available in the June 2020 series, to allow more students to sit the November 2020 exams. These included Chinese syllabuses from the Cambridge O Level Urdu and Cambridge IGCSE.

Business, physics, mathematics, and chemistries were the most common Cambridge International AS and A Level subjects taken by students in Pakistan in the November 2020 series.

The results of the Cambridge exam are recognized by higher education and employers worldwide. In the usual manner, all grades issued this year are accepted.

The Cambridge O Levels and Cambridge IGCSE results will be released to schools on 19 January 2021 at 06:00 UTC/GMT.
