Considered as one of the best classic crime novels, Endless Nights takes us on a journey into Michael Rogers’ life. It all seemed like a dream come true when Michael finds out about the elegant house at Gypsy’s Acre and meets with Ellie, the heiress.
What is great about the book is her “first-person” narration and how she connects one event with the other in a master-class crime novel. Michael ignores an older woman’s warning, slides into doom as he realizes that Gypsy’s Acre is not a safe place for him to be.
Our queen of mystery surprises us yet again in The Pale Horse. Someone kills an elderly priest, who before dying had received secret information from a dying woman. The killer searches the priest, looking for something perhaps. But, what exactly is the killer looking for?
Is he trying to cover up a crime he committed? With several twists and turns, and a series of killings, police trail leads to an old building near Bournemouth where they found three mature women who are the perpetrators of this great evil.
With 272 pages of continuous flipping, you would wish the drama never finished.
Looking at the title alone, we can guess that Agatha wants us to believe that it is easy to commit murder. Well, don’t be carried away; it is just the title of her book.
