The Ayn Rand Institute (ARI) have open entries for Atlas Shrugged Essay Contest for the year 2020 from grade 12, college undergraduate and graduate students from all over the world.
The Ayn Rand Writing offers various educational programs to enable students at all levels of knowledge to know more about Ayn Rand’s philosophy and novels.
The ARI is successfully organizing essay contests from more than thirty years. This year it will again award more than 230 prizes, totalling over $70,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- The contest is open to all countries of the world.
- Applicants must be in the 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grade.
- ARI reserves the right to make exceptions to this rule, on a case-by-case basis, for international students or students with nonstandard school years.
- Candidate must be an undergraduate, a graduate or a postgraduate student.
- Applicants must attend a university, a four-year college, two-year college or a vocational-tech school.
- Both full-time and part-time students
Participants Requirement
- Only one student is eligible to participate per entry.
- The essay must be unique. If plagiarism found, it will result in disqualification of the candidate.
- Essays should not infringe the rights or intellectual property of any third party of any person, company or organization.
- The essay must be 600 to 1,200 words in length, double-spaced. Spelling errors and written corrections found in the essay will be counted in the final grade and must be discarded before submission.
- No application is required. The contest is open to students worldwide, except where void or prohibited by law. Essays must be written in English only.
- Essays mailed must include a stapled cover sheet with the following information:
- your name and address
- E-mail address
- The name and address of your school
- The topic selected
- Current grade level
Application Process
- The easy can be submitted electronically or mail your essay with the stapled cover sheet.
- To submit essays electronically, you need to fill the online form.
- Click the “Submit your essay online” button then the Education Programs online portal will get open. Candidates can either create an account or login using their existing user name and password.
- Once you have accessed the portal, complete the eligibility quiz, identifying yourself as a Non-Educator.
- Next, click on the “View Programs” button and submit the content.
