Basic Clothing Necessities

Basic clothing necessities are essential in packing as we should not carry much luggage. The room assigned to us is shared with other people too. We must pack our needs with that required space so that it won’t be clumsy and is maintained well.

  • Casual wear, nightwear, essential undergarments or lingerie
  • Swimsuits, fashion wear, gym wear
  • Casual Slippers, Boots, and shoes
  • Umbrella, Raincoats, etc

Electronics

Carrying your electronics might save your time and money than purchasing later or somewhere. Items to take are mentioned below:

  • Hard drive, Pen drive, Cell phone, and charger, Camera
  • Laptop and charger, Speakers (optional)
  • All sorts of wire, cable connections.
  • Hairdryer etc.

Basic Kitchen Items

Kitchen items are necessary as they are essential to be carried for every individual, such as their plate, mugs, cutlery, and other things according to their necessities. We must take a few reusable items such as reusable plates and cutlery for us, as well as other people when you decide not to live alone or have a party in your dorm room.

Bathroom – Laundry Products

Carrying our bath products should be taught rather than sharing with others as it is mostly related to personal health care. Few necessities we need are as follows:

  • Bathrobe, Bath slippers, shower cap, Towels, own loofahs (optional)
  • Personal bath products, Cosmetics, and other toiletries.
  • Toothbrush and Toothpaste.
  • Other laundry items.

Medical Kit

Medical kit is an essential supply one must carry in aid of their health or medical problems (if any). It should contain the following:

  • Own medicines with prescriptions
  • First – aid kit, Pain – relief tablets, Vitamin capsules, Allergy medicines
  • Condoms and birth control pills.
  • Menstrual pads, Menstrual cup, Tampons
  • Insect repellent creams, Sunscreen

Interior Essentials

One can customize their dorm room in a way they like! Every individual loves to decorate their room with different colours, textures, and other cloth materials to personalize or highlight their lifestyle. Few essential items every student is interested in,

  • Wall posters, hangers, pictures, frames
  • Artificial décor plants
  • Few natural small plant pots
  • Different types of lighting equipment
  • Bed lights and Mirror
  • Notice board.

Other Important Items

Other valuable miscellaneous items such as alarm clock, Batteries, playing cards, few pennies, or cash kept in the sock, Pins, Floodlights or torch, Candles, etc. be taken care of.

They help you maintain well without any confusion. It is always important and essential for us to carry our valuable items so that you don’t ever need to borrow from anyone in case of emergencies

Shifting Your Luggage

Once you are done packing, you will have to worry about shifting the luggage as it is also a stressful job to do. Make it more accessible, pack into boxes accordingly, and write on the plates as to where they belong and keep a count on them.

Liquid items should be taken care of as well as glass items, e.g., Mirror. Follow a pattern to arrange the shifted luggage one by one to avoid chaos.

Printing The Ultimate Checklist

Last but not least, you should enlist every item you want or shift your checklist to recheck your stuff. Not only just standard paper but printing your final ultimate list may save you from dorm room moving confusion.

These are essential tips to help you checklist your list and should be followed to make your new college life more comfortable in a new town, city, or country! These can be your lifesaver materials.
