The University of Florida, which is located in Gainesville, Florida, has an amazing 2,000-acre campus known for its brick buildings, a mesmerizing lake, lots of places to walk, and a golf course.

Moreover, this renowned university has excellent health, economics, business, and engineering programs. It has a 19:1 student/faculty ratio and is one of the world’s best universities.

If you are interested in applying to the University of Florida, you probably want to know everything about the admissions and the acceptance rate to this university. Let’s begin!

Admissions

The admission process to the University of Florida is rather competitive. For every 100 students, 38 students are accepted to the UF. The admission process implies submitting the SAT or ACT exam score.

When it comes to the admissions statistics, we can say that it proves the fact that UF is a quality and competitive place to study. Namely, 50% of the UF students scored between 640 and 710 on their SAT exam. At the same time, 25% of students scored below 640, while also 25% of the applicants scored above 710 on their SAT exam. These are the reading and writing results.

When it comes to math, 50% of the UF students scored between 640 and 730. Again, 25% of them scored below 640 and 25% above 730.

When it comes to the ACT test, which is another option when applying to this university, UF students are placed within the top fourteen percent of the national results regarding the ACT. The average composite score is between 27 and 32.

GPA is another important consideration within the admission process. Namely, 42. – 4.6 is the common GPA range for UF students. The majority of the UF students have mostly grade A.

Acceptance Rate

The official acceptance rate of the University of Florida for 2017/2018 was 38%. In 2018/2019, it equals 42%. The University of Florida currently has more than 16,000 graduate and more than 35,000 undergraduate students.

Conclusion

In conclusion, we can say that the University of Florida has high, competitive requirements and usually accepts students who have mostly A grades in their high school diploma. The acceptance rate varies between 38 and 42%.

Moreover, the admission requirements include SAT or ACT results, as well as a high GPA score. If you have a 1450 SAT result or higher, your chances of getting accepted to the University of Florida are high. Namely, your admission chance is higher than 55%. If your SAT result is between 1380 and 1450, you have a 42% chance to get accepted to this university. On the other hand, if your SAT result is lower than 1240, you have less than 20 percent chance to get accepted to the UF.

Similarly, if your ACT score is higher than 32, you have more than 55% chance to get accepted to the UF. On the other hand, if you scored less than 26, your chances are slimmer than 20%.
