Describe your most challenging experience with customers. How have you handled that situation?

I have had a challenging experience with the customers, but I have met their needs and satisfaction. A customer ordered a particular product in my previous role, but it was unexpectedly back-ordered after making their purchase and payment. They needed a good and functional version of that specific item. It was our duty to provide them with this item as soon as possible.

To resolve this particular issue, I begin by listening to their aspects and concerns. I tried to understand all the problems, and I also clarified the questions they have. Then I offered the alternative products which were in stock at that time. As soon as they liked the product, we offered them the substitute by canceling the old order. I also updated free shipping for a hassle-free experience. In the end, the customers were delighted with the solution that I have come with.

Tell me about a time when you faced an unexpected turn in your project. How did you handle it?

One time we were given the assignment to develop a new kind of system for the employers. The assignment’s deadline was too late, and it was rapidly changing, nearing the project’s completion. In this condition, the development was hard, and the deadline had passed as well.

At that time, my partners and I focused on the different segments which needed to be completed, and we did not get under pressure. We also identify different types of implementations so that the changes can be seen methodically. By using time management frameworks, we processed the result successfully.

What is the difference between bias and variance in Tradeoff?

Bias can be considered the error that comes to through simplistic assumptions in the learning algorithm used. This can lead to the underfitting of the mode model data, and there are specific predictive accuracy issues related to the knowledge and training set. Variance is the error through which the complexity in the learning algorithm is being used, and there are highly sensitive and high degrees of variations in the training data.

How is KNN different from k-means clustering?

The main difference is that the key nearest neighbors have a specific supervised classification algorithm different from K means clustering because it has an unsupervised clustering algorithm.

Can you define precision and recall?

Recall can be considered the true positive rate through which the number of positives in the claimed model can be compared to the actual number of positives throughout the data set. Precision is considered the positive predictive value through which the model seems to do the number of positive in the data set accuracy.

What is Bayes’ Theorem?

Baye’s Theorem can be considered the Theorem giving an idea of the posterior probability of any particular event, which is also known as understanding with prior knowledge.

Always be confident and stay positive in the interviews. Amazon is an excellent organization to ask you technical and tricky questions but still be positive. Look into these interview questions and be ready for whatever comes into your path. We are sure that these questions will help you to prepare for Amazon technical interview. Also, it is always good to do prior research about the organization. Apart from these questions, others like what you like about this organization and what would define success. Be prepared.

Why have you chosen Amazon?

I have chosen Amazon because it is a good company, and working for this organization is hardworking. I have also selected the organization because it allows its employees to prove their hard work and prove them. This organization will give me easy access to many resources and people as well. I am a person who is always willing to make myself a better version of myself, and Amazon is an organization that will still help that. Another important reason for working in an organization is that it has many possibilities of creating a significant impact on society.

How would you keep yourself and your co-workers motivated at hard times?

My team and I need to be motivated at all times. There might be some difficult times in any organization, so it is essential for inspiring oneself and the team. Getting inspired with vision can be helpful because it helps to keep up morale.

Also, making sure the employees understand the value and the mission of the organization can help them be motivated. Positive feedbacks and focusing on the development of people contrive and inspire themselves in a daily manner. Communication is also essential for motivation because communication and understanding the business can help in uncertain and challenging times. Being positive and having fun are crucial milestones in the life of Amazon and every organization. I can contribute my strength to keep myself and my team motivated.

What is the biggest challenge Amazon, as an organization, is facing today?

Amazon, as an organization, is facing the challenge of new competitors. Another challenge that is faced by Amazon is the changes in the economy. The implications on the supply chains of Amazon can also prove to be the greatest challenge.
