Usually, it takes around 2 to 4 years to complete higher studies. After finishing their studies, international students can stay for more than 2 to 4 years to get work experience.

In September, the Subclass 485 visa requirements help international students apply for a visa from outside the country. They can apply for the visa online. But in that case, international students can apply and only receive the Temporary Graduate visa.

The post-study work visa rules changes allow old international students to receive visas and get back to Australia after the global ban restrictions are lifted. When international students get their visas and the ban on international borders ease, students can enter the country. International students do not need to hold a student visa six months before applying for 485 visas.
International students will get 12 months to submit their post-study work visa application after finishing their course.
