Australia is now one of the best countries that have always been in demand among the circles of immigrants from all around the world. Australia immigration process takes on average between 9 to 12 months to complete. But, if you meet the legal requirements at each step, you will be granted a visa.

For a Skilled Migration visa, there are few steps that you must complete.

Step 1. Checking Eligibility

Checking your eligibility is the first and foremost thing which you should do, and you can do it online. There are two steps in it. The first step would be occupation Jake. So you have to check if your occupation is listed out in the in-demand occupations list or not.

Now they have done the categorization, and most of the professions are listed out, so you don’t have to worry your the profession will be there.

Now you have to check your points in the points table. Points are awarded based on the various criteria like age, and your work experiences your English proficiency in the state sponsorship or other factors as well. So you have to calculate your points and have to check that your occupation is in-demand occupations list well it is there not.

There are different accrediting bodies in various occupations. When an accrediting body has determined that your qualifications and work experience are equivalent to Australian qualifications and work experience for your occupation, then you will be issued with a letter of accreditation.

Costs: The application fee of AUD$450 and AUD$4000 paid directly to the accrediting body relevant to your occupation.

Step 2. Evidence of English Language

The Australian immigration system accepts several different internationally accepted English testing systems to measure the rank applicants and rank applicants overall English ability. You can appear for all the English occupational test.

IELTS: IELTS is one of the world’s most popular high-stakes English language tests. It is accepted as evidence of English language proficiency for study, work and migration in Australia. The IELTS score you need depends on the requirements of your visa, and the organisation where you plan to study or work.

TOEFL: The Australian immigration department also accepts TOEFL iBT test scores for every single one of its 26 visa subclasses for skilled migration. Students from around the world can use their TOEFL scores as part of their visa applications.

CAE: The Department of Immigration and Border Protection in Australia (DIBP) accepts Cambridge English: Advanced scores as proof of English language ability under a range of visa categories.

The Australian Government conducts the exam. You are recommended to obtain a minimum of 6 out of 9 on each part of the review for satisfying the basic requirements for the visa. You are suggested to undertake an IELTS preparation test to ensure you achieve the best possible score in the analysis.

Costs: The exams cost about AUD$300 per person and is paid to the IELTS administrator in your country.

Step 3. Skills Assessment

Skills Assessment is also a very important part of visa processing. The skills assessment process is conducted by the Australian Skills Assessing Authorities. For software engineers there would be Australian Computer Society which is ACS, for electrical, mechanical, civil, biomedical and other engineers this engineer Australia skills into the medical field there’s medical bore of Australia.

Skill assessment Authority is an organization which is responsible for comparing skills education and work experience of a visa applicant to Australian standards. Step 4. Expression of Interest

Expression of Interest is also called EOI. It is a method of showing your interest in applying for a skilled visa to migrate to Australia. It is an online forum in skill select. Now skill select is an application. It’s an online forum on skill select which asks a series of questions about your skills depending on the visa subclass you select.

So basically three visa subclasses are a 189 visa 190 and 489. You have to select your permission subclass over there. Details related to education work experience family skills assessment language tests are supposed to be entered.

While you’re filling up the form for your UI now based on the information provided in the application points will be calculated by them so earlier. You calculate your points according to you three points table. Now they’ll calculate, and they will assess you based on the number of points and in-demand jobs. You will get an invitation.

There’s no timeline decided for this. Someone who has got 75 points they’re high chances. Later on, any change in detail can be updated in yours.

Costs: UI and there’s no payment required at this particular step.

Step 5. State Nomination Application

The next step in the process is to apply for the nomination of a state government. The requirements of each state government are different, as are the application procedures. Now it is two months you have been given to submit the documents and make the payment at the same time.

So the payment of around thirty-six hundred seventy Australian dollars is required for family applicant. The half is for the spouse and one-fourth of the primary applicant is for each child documents which are needed very important.

So there are three categories of documents. The first one is personal documents. You are required to submit the birth certificate, passport and educational documents.

Costs: State government application fees range from NIL to AUD$ 800.

Step 6. Visa Application

The sixth step is to apply for your visa. The visa application is made online. Each candidate needs to include certified copies of professional documents and work experience documents, certified copies of translations, and other documents.

Costs: Currently, the fees for visa application are as follow: 

  • Primary visa applicant: AUD 3,755.00
  • Applicant over 18 years old: AUD 1,875.00
  • Candidate under 18 years old: AUD 940.00
  • An applicant whose native language is not English; they need to pay the fee of AUD$4,890.

Step 7. Medical Exams and Police Certificates

If you have your appointment letters, experience certificates, income tax documents from motion letters, leaving letters and Salas tips from all the employers, then you’ll be asked to go for your medical examination, and this will be for all of your family members who are going to Australia.

You are suggested to provide your identity document issued by government marriage or divorce certificates and police clearance certificates as well as immigration documents, English test result and skill assessment result earlier.

Costs: The medical exam costs about AUD$275 per person and is paid directly to the local doctor and radiographer.
