Russian Education is about to bring a new technology development and train its staff members to be highly qualified. They are focused to hire international staff and admit international students in order to raise the integrity of their system.
Russian universities are also offering international students employment opportunities within universities and now they would be able to extend their visas and live in Russia as employers. Russia wants its universities to rank highest internationally by enrolling more international students.
Russian president, Vladimir Putin, has taken an immediate action to bring a change to their education system. He realized the importance of modernizing their system. Higher Education, the Russian Rector’s Association and Education NGOs are now attracting international students.
The president, Putin said that he has seen a potential in Russian universities to deliver some outstanding outcomes. He believes to convert the existing education structure into a new house of technology, which will in return, improve their country’s economy as well.
Putin called upon a meeting of the Russian Rectors’ Association at Peter the great St Peters-burg State Polytechnic University. He stressed that a good institution not only provides quality education to its students and skillful training to its staff but also, It welcomes International members and students into their system.
Russian president further said that they have to get out of their old ways and take on an approach to national development. They have to be future-oriented through modifications and raise their reputation in world rank international universities.
The chairman of the Russian Rectors’ Association and the head of Moscow State University said that the distribution of universities in the world is not correct. In Europe, intellectual people are getting old, whereas, in Asia, youth is hungry for knowledge and development. Asia lacks well-reputed universities so far. So, this situation favours the export of their education.
Furthermore, he said that their education system has valuable resources that should be utilized in training members to be professional. Education market around the world needs those highly trained and qualified professionals.

Russian daily newspaper, Rossiyskaya Gazeta, reported that 40 universities including Moscow State University and St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University are in need to hire about 6000 lecturers from abroad. International members into their system will boost up their prestige, he said.
In 2011, a law was passed by the government to hire as many foreign students as the universities are required to have. This law favoured the cultural exchange in the country which will be helpful in raising the country’s reputation and development in a global world.
Russian Higher Education Ministry initiated a large-scale campaign to hire about 150,000 foreign students annually into its educational institute. This campaign will seek a complete success by 2025.
The head of Fellowship of International Youth and Civil Organization, Mahomed Aliyev, said that now, the international students can also get employment in the universities. So, they can extend their visas and continue to live in the country as an employee.
Besides, student employment, they can learn their rights and obligations in English, French, Spanish and Arabic. Study in Russia is a website designed to attract international students to study at Russian Universities.
In an interview, the member of a federal Migration service, Alexander, said that Russian universities are on the verge to enrol international students to make a stand on the global ranking. Moscow University and St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University stand on 23rd and 61st position globally.
