1. Expansion in Subsidies for Middle-class Families

Obamacare expanded the offerings for middle-class families. Those families who cannot afford highly expensive treatments were benefited from it. To pay for the expanded subsidies, Obamacare program increased the taxes to all health care providers and high earners.

People who were earning $200,000 were due to pay higher taxes. People were charged with a penalty by the Tax cuts and penalty Act who were not paying the taxes.

2. Affordability of Health Insurance

Insurance was instructed to spend 80% of insurance premiums on the health sector. About 16 million Americans obtained health care insurance in the initial five years of ACA.

These insurance facilities were not free, but people got a wide range of health options through this step. The ACA also made sure that there should not be an unnecessary increase in insurance rates.

3. More Screening Is Being Covered

ACA covers preventive services and screenings. These usually have low deductibles and copays. If you are proactive and alert in health care, you may avoid significant health problems.

This will lead to lower costs in healthcare. This is because diseases will be diagnosed at an early stage; it prevents debilitating treatments later. ACA aims to provide quality and less costly services to all Americans.

Every citizen got the right to be treated at a low cost, and no one disappointed as before. ACA also instructed that it will no longer be allowed to maintain a present dollar limit on the service they provided.

5. Excluding the Drug Plan Coverage

Obamacare made improvements in healthcare and eliminated the drug plan coverage gap. They gave beneficiaries discount on brand drugs in the coverage gap before eliminating it and offered services in less money. So this was another major advantage of the Obamacare health program.

2. People Lost Their Employment-based Health Facility

Many organizations found it cost-effective to pay the penalty for their employees. They let their employees purchase the insurance plan by themselves rather than giving them an employee based facility.

Many companies cancelled the ten benefits described by ACA because they were not in a mood to facilitate their employees. Around 3 million people lost their employment after the introduction of this healthcare program.

3. Fine on People Without Insurance

The main target of Obamacare is for people to be insured in a year. If you don’t have an exemption and you are uninsured, you will be charged with a heavy amount of fine. It has been changed, and it will be eliminated in 2019. People claimed that this fine is for government advantage only.

 5. Lack of Knowledge

There was a large group of people who didn’t like the concept of Obamacare. They were unable to understand what it does or how it works. It was mentioned that health law is responsible for 20 million Americans in health insurance.

In 2016, only one-quarter respondents to Kaiser training knew about the poll. Half the population thought that the rate has remained unchanged, while the 21% thought had risen to all time. Many people assumed that this program would result in s death panels to decide the trust on Medicare.
