Argumentation: The coherent series of valid statements, reasons, or facts used by individuals to support their idea or point of view on a specific topic is called Argument. The process of argument is called argumentation.

Explanation: When a person tries to take a stance on any issue, he is doing an argument. A person’s argumentation can be positive or negative, which is to convince the listener or the opposite party.

Positive argumentation covers the series of supportive arguments to the specific topic or issue. Discussing the topic with a positive and supportive perspective by giving reasons is described as positive argumentation. Negative argumentation covers the series of opposition arguments to the specific topic or issue.

Discussing the topic with the negative and opposite points of view by giving reasons is described as negative argumentation. 

When arguing some topics, it is always followed by two or more people. Both parties have opposite views of each other’s arguments. Both groups try to justify their beliefs to draw valid conclusions by explaining their point of view so that the other group should have to accept their argument.

Your point of view should be logical and valid if you’re into the argument. The baseless arguments are not part of the series of arguments.

You Become Smarter:

When you have some valid and logical arguments, either positive or negative, you try to convince your different group having opposite arguments.

The process makes you smarter as the person who is showing disagreement by giving a logical reason for your argument will make you think about your mistake. Then, you’ll learn about not making the same mistake again. Competing ideas of others will make you smarter.

Your Conflicts Get Removed:

Having some arguments doesn’t mean that you’ll be right all way while arguing. You can be wrong. The opposition you receive towards your argument makes your misunderstanding to get out of your mind. This opposition will help you in improving your side of the argument.

You Get to Know the Best of Something You’re Arguing:

Argument should be in a kind manner so that the opposite person don’t get panic and listen to your argument with attention. It is just like any recipe for the dish. The dish other person is preparing has another recipe, which is more delicious than yours. 

You Learn How to Express:

The arguments which you make are based on facts rather than opinions. Valid arguments make others accept the opposition. Behind the discussions is the huge study, which makes your argument logical?

Your way of expressing arguments expresses you and your hard work, which you’ve done to get your argument accepted.

You Learn Patience:

Naturally, a person gets frustrated when his/her argument is not getting accepted, which makes him/her feel embarrassed. In the argumentation, the person doesn’t oppose others’ thoughts based on their personality, but their facts on which they are arguing. You come to listen to them respectfully in a critical manner, which helps you control your feelings.

Cons of Argumentation:

Everything in this world has two sides. If any term has favourable factors, it also has unfavourable factors based on facts, and an individual has to accept it. Some cons of argumentation are described below.

Rejected Argument Delivers Insult:

After studying a lot on a specific topic and placing your case in front of your opposite team, when your argument gets denied, you feel insulted in front of every person you’re speaking in front of.

The rejection shows that your case is unhealthy and is undesirable, which means the time you spent on making your argument had no advantage. 

Criticizing Brings Emotional Upset:

Some opponents oppose the argument in that the person feels restlessness and doesn’t want to argue more. When your argument gets criticized by your opponents in light of some bad behaviour, this makes you the emotionally upset person. Naturally, criticizing makes the person upset. 

You Have to Change the Decision:

The decision and result you were working for hours and days, have to get changed after getting some opposite views on your facts and logic. The strong comments and statements which a person receives as an argument affect the decision.

This means that you didn’t get anything for the time you spent on your reasons with the conclusion.

Argumentation Can Bring Conflicts and Hate:

When an individual tries to make their point of view to accept, then the opposite party doesn’t bare this to the last that the person has won their argument, which brings hate towards the respective person. 

Argumentation Can Be Lengthy, Causing Tiredness:

Lengthy arguments are the part of argumentation, which can make the listener’s air bored. Tired and bored arguments can be based on the type of topic which you’re given.

Conclusion:

The arguments are part of everyone’s life. The argumentative person should have some valid and logical statements to prove the point of view. The arguments should be in such a way that the opposite party doesn’t get embarrassed and get your points.

Either it’s any formal speech on any stage ethically or informal speech (conflict) between two persons or parties, it affects. The logic should have a strong base so that the other person gets what you want to say.

Arguments have favourable and unfavourable factors that a person should know. The arguments make your wrong ideas clear with reasons so that you may get your air cleared. 

Arguments are all about your try in which you light your expressions about something that depends on your opinions (you speak in favour of) and others’ views (you speak against). You have to keep in mind that your reasons should be based on facts and logic.
