Apple Air Pods

Apple has included a simple pair of wired earbuds in the box and if you have owned at least one iPhone or iPad, you have probably used them and both earbuds are wired together into Y connection to an audio connector that plugs into your phone. Apple discontinued the traditional headphone jack and wired earbuds come with a lightning port connector.

Are Air Pods Different From Earphones?

Air pods are different and all wired earbuds also have a media controller built into the wire and you can use to play, pause, skip tracks and adjust the volume. As they are completely wireless devices, they have no wires at all and are not connected, and instead, both earpieces have separate Bluetooth radios. You can now easily pair with your phone or other devices via Bluetooth.

Apple has released two versions of air pods: the original air pod released in 2016 and air pod 2 released in 2019. Both of these air pods look identical but also have differences.

The first generation of air pods uses apple’s original W1 wireless chip and air pods 2 is built around the newer H1 wireless chipset which apple claims work twice as fast and both work using Siri.

The air pods come with a charging case that has an integrated battery to extend the battery life of earpieces when away from the electrical outlet and the original air pod case charged with cable. While on the other hand, air pod 2 offers an optional wireless charging case at an additional cost and the air pod offers longer talk time on a single charge.

Pros of Air Pods

In this article, we are going to have a look at the pros of air pods first and these are as follows:

The User-Friendly Interface of Air Pods

Air pod is built in a way that whenever the lid of the box is opened to get them instantaneously connects to the iPhone and there is no need to wait for them to connect.

It’s like they are never disconnected and after the connection establishes the battery of Air pod shows on the screen.

The Smoothness of Air Pods

The main advantage of air pods being wireless is that annoying piece of wire is long and gone from your life and we all know the drill of entangling a pair of earphones. Air pods don’t fall off your ears, this is due to strong and design air pods and this is one major concern for buyers.

Optimum Audio Quality

The essential specification to check when purchasing these devices is the audio quality and air pods have superior audio quality. They also feature elite advanced audio coding (AAC) sound and these devices are designed to offer excellent audio quality that you can’t get into most wireless air buds.

If you are a movie or music enthusiast then these devices are ideal for you and air pods are not just for music and movies only. They can serve a practical purpose as well and the device features dual beamforming microphones that can filter out any background noise and makes your voice calls clear.

Air Pods Offer a High Level of Comfort

These devices are constructed to fit all ear types and anyone can use them. They fit into the ear snugly and not too loose to regularly fall out and are also not extremely tight that can cause pain or discomfort.

Another biggest benefit of air pods is that they don’t have any wire and this means that you don’t have to untangle them when getting your devices. Moreover, you don’t have to worry about the earbuds getting trapped in other accessories.

The Extended Battery of Air Pods

Air pods assure an extended battery life of five hours and it can be beneficial for people who have long commutes. Air pods come with a charging case one fully charged can last about 24 hours and another exciting feature of air pods is that when put air pods in the charging case for 15 minutes, then it can deliver about 3 hours of listening time.

According to us, these 5 are the pros of owning apple air pods, and well it is priced well and is undoubtedly worth the cost.

Cons of Air Pods

Now it’s time to switch towards the cons of air pods and these are as follows:

Airpods are Easy to Misplace

While the company released firmware to help consumers find their lost air pods by making the ring to find my phone app, these earbuds are too easy to misplace and after all, you might not hear them ring when you are far.

You might lose your earbuds quickly as their small size does not make them find if you are an unorganized person who forgets about his or her items in places such as restaurants and coffee shops.

Sleek Design and Feeble Build

Many users have raised complaints that earbuds being feeble such as they break easily and process of taking them out of their case is difficult and plugging them in-ear triggers is a significant risk. Since they are most likely to be damaged so get ready to get another pair if they fall.

Quite Costly

Lack of Companion App

Difficult to Find in Bags and Pockets

Earphones with cables are easy to find in bags and pockets as compared to apple air pods.

Can’t Use Air Pods on Streets

There is a chance that someone might steal your air phones from your ear, so it is better that you don’t use them on the streets.

Another important reminder is that air pods don’t come along with iPhones you have to buy them separately.

Air pods can easily fall from your ears as cables of earphones are fixed.

Bottom Line

You need to invest in air pods if you like apple products and you fancy high-quality sound.
