For academically strong students, the University of Birmingham is offering its Postgraduate Scholarship. This scholarship is specifically for the US domicile students to support their educational funds for the academic session 2021-2022.
The scholarship is meant for the aspirants gaining a brilliant score in their academics but having fewer funds for their postgraduate degree. Award amount of this scholarship will directly be adjusted in the tuition fee of the course.

Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must meet up the following eligibility criteria to apply for the Scholarship:
- The candidate must be a US national and be domiciled in the United States.
- The candidate must have the confirmation letter of the admission.
- The candidate must have a CGPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale or above.
- The candidate must choose the eligible courses only for full time.
- Meet all the requirements on time.
- Deposit any unpaid tuition costs not covered by the Scholarship.
- Candidate must be ready to start their classes from September 2021.
- The candidate must have the valid ID numbers and Proofs.
- The candidate must be enrolled with our local representatives and have their postgraduate research application attached: Across the Pond (ATP)
- The candidate must be an Independent student (Students do not accept a full or partial scholarship from another source or be funded by a Foreign Funding Partner of the University).

- International Student Scholarship: The scholarship awards are £ 5,000 towards tuition costs for a qualified one-year Masters programme.
- The Scholarship will be awarded to the Postgraduate candidates having the highest performance in its last degree.
How to Apply for the Scholarship
For applying to these scholarships, candidates are needed to follow these steps:
Step 1: Apply for Admission
The student will apply for the administration in a selective program. He/she will automatically get a chance to avail themselves the benefits of the Scholarship if he/she fulfils the eligibility criteria mentioned in the Scholarship.
Step 2: Submit Required Documents
- A Complete Admission form.
- Each term’s transcript of Bachelor’s degrees will be attached.
- Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) statement is needed.
- The certificate will be required for English language competence (TOEFL or IELTS).
- If a student has applied for a research-based programme, they will be asked to submit a research proposal.

Visa Requirements
You might need an Entry Visa or Residency Permit, provided by the UK’s Ministry, depending on your nationality policy. The candidate himself must apply for the visa. The student will receive a certificate from the University Assurance of Acceptance for Studies (CAS), which will help them apply for a visa. The student has to pay the remaining fee after having approval for a visa.
Students intending to study in the UK for a full academic year or longer than six months. In that case, they may need to apply for a Student Route visa in their home country before travelling, and they can apply for a short-term study visa if students come to study for only one semester or for a programme that is less than six months. You will also need a Student Route visa if students stay for less than six months and plan to volunteer or work there.
