The University of Oxford recently took the amazing initiative of helping out unfortunate students. This initiative targets the students who will be facing problems in sorting the finances of studying there and also possess enough merit to be in the university by providing them with a new study program.
This program aims to prepare them for the final university program and train them with better facilities which were not financially dependent much they were missing.
By the year 2023, the University of Oxford predicted that one out of four new students who decide to study there would be belonging to some financially unstable family. From the next admission procedure’s initiation, 200 students who have applied for taking admission in the University of Oxford and belongs to poor backgrounds will be sent for a separate study program. The program will comprise of study plan from home and a two weeks residential study program at Oxford before they are sent for the final undergraduate terms.
This study scheme will not only shape the young minds but will also provide them with a lot of benefits in terms of academics. The training will excel in their studies in Oxford, which undoubtedly, they would not be getting from anywhere else.
This scheme aims to welcome students to experience better education which, despite having the potential to excel in life but cannot get the means to get enrolled in Oxford due to unfortunate circumstances mostly.
This scheme is open for children who are refugees as well as the children who are in care or are living with care responsibilities. The students or participants who will be going there for the program will be chosen on the basis of their merit results. They will ultimately make it to the merit list of the University of Oxford only if they complete the entire program and do well in it as well.
The higher authorities of the University of Oxford and their fellow colleges and faculty body all together have come up and are diligently taking steps in order to help students who are meritorious yet not getting a fair chance of experiencing better education.
