January 4, 2020 //  by Amit Kumar

Quebec has given some more details related to their value test. Quebec government has recently released the guide about the value test that is supposed to be provided by the immigrants to qualify for the selection of the provenance.

It’s all started after Quebec made it clear that every candidate needs to give this value test and they will be providing them with the guide soon. They have introduced this test so that the new immigrants can also know about human and freedom rights in Quebec.

About the Value Test

This value test is valid for all those people who did immigration through the economic immigration programs. It includes:

  • Investor Program
  • Self-employed program
  • Quebec experience program
  • Quebec skilled worker program
  • Entrepreneur program

Quebec has sent a notice to all the people who have immigrated through this program, and they need to pass this test. Children under the age of 18 do not have to give this test until he becomes an adult.

Another exemption is for those people who are physical impairment who are unable to give this exam for their disabilities. Candidates have been given a time of 60 days after their application for a selection certificate to send them so that they can prove they have passed the test.

The candidates need to score at least 75 per cent marks in their exam to get the certification. The test will contain 20 questions from the guide that will be randomly generated by the system.

How to Take the Test

All the candidates can appear in the test in two ways. Either online or in an information session. In both cases, the candidate will be given three chances to appear in the test.

If a candidate fails the exam for the second time, he/she cannot give an online test and will have to appear in the information session to give his final test. There is an exemption for abroad candidates to give their final test through the online analysis.

The Key Principles of the Quebec

These are the five fundamental principles of Quebec that you need to understand that can help you pass the value test.

Quebec is a French-Speaking Society

The first principle of Quebec is that it is a French-speaking society in the whole of North America. They want to convey the message that the French language should be preserved and treated with respect in Quebec. It should remain as the universal language of the country.

To make it happen, French is the primary and first language of Quebec and has been used in the legal work of the country. They have ensured that the French language is used in schools, workplace, communication, and business.

The government of Quebec provides all the communication in Frech and does not contain any exemption for anyone. The immigrants should also follow this value to preserve the French language in Quebec.

Equality between Men and Women

Quebec ensures that there is equality between men and women in all the sectors. It would help if you treated both genders with respect and cannot discriminate between them in any way.

The equality is not limited to the responsibilities as men and women both are entitled to the same obligation in their personal and professional life.

No one can force men or women for marriage without their wish. Men and women can marry the person they want to and have the right to choose their partner by their own will.

All the employers should make sure that the labour and other wages should be the same for both the genders.

Quebec Supports Democracy

All the elections held in Quebec are non-biased, and the voting elects the leaders. No force can change the results of an election. However, you can request a recount if you think there was a mistake in the counting.

Citizens who do not belong to Canada can participate in any event hosted by a political party. And they have the freedom to get involved in a party. All the citizens have the right to vote that can and should not be influenced by anyone.

No one can ask a citizen to reveal their choice for the candidate. It covers the freedom of speech, press, and expression of the citizens of Quebec. Rights and responsibilities associated with the citizens of Quebec.

The rules of human rights apply to all the citizens who are residing in Quebec and are registered citizens. The citizens will get all the fundamental rights that include the right to liberty, security, and privacy.

Citizens get all the rights, but they need to keep them in limit and can not be misused on any terms. You need to keep the restriction of their application as per the rules. The list includes many other rights that belong to the citizens of Canada or Quebec.

Quebec is a Secular Society

Quebec is a secular place and provides the right to practice the individual’s religion as he or she wants. There is no official religion of the country and citizens will not be forced to exercise any other faith.

However, all the citizens need to show their face if they are going for some government legal work. It is not limited to the citizens as the government staff also need to reveal their faces on their duty.

This is not discrimination and is for the sole purpose of identity and security.

Conclusion

The guide released by the Quebec immigration centre contains all the values that need to be followed by every citizen of Quebec. It is a good practice as the people living in a society should follow the rules and regulations.

Candidates can easily pass this value test as they have three chances to get certification and only need 75 per cent points to pass the exam.
