Acceptance Rate- With an acceptance rate of 46.3%, the university offered admission to 15,986 students out of a total of 38,320 undergraduate applicants with 6,422 students enrolling. Students of McGill have the highest average entering grade of any Canadian university.

What GPA do you need to get into McGill?

  • The minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) is 3.0 out of a possible 4.0.
  • Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.2 out of 4.0 in the last two years of full-time studies.

What is a good SAT, ACT and English score for McGill?

  • Minimum A, 3.9-4.0/4.00, or equivalent unweighted average over the last two years of full-time studies.
  • A minimum score of 730 in each SAT I test and 700 in each SAT II test or a minimum composite score of 33 in the ACT test and/or rank in top 1-2% of the class.
  • Since English is the elementary language of instruction and communication at McGill, you must demonstrate an adequate level of proficiency in English, regardless of your citizenship status or country of origin.
