For international students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, Ireland has always become one of the top English-speaking destinations. Therefore, the Government of Ireland has announced scholarships worth 1,500,000 euros to encourage students and provide them with assistance.
While announcing the scholarships, Giles O’Neill, Director of Education in Ireland, said, “There are different choices regarding scholarships.” First, merit-based scholarships are being offered by the Higher Education Institutes of Ireland themselves. Besides, on the day of the showcase, Education in Ireland, as a national brand, will give scholarships to 10 Indian students. For the fee reduction, each of the scholarships offered is worth € 3,000.
To further promote Ireland as an educational destination, Education in Ireland, a national brand under the Minister of Education and Skills responsible for promoting Irish Higher Education Institutions overseas, has announced an additional scholarship worth EUR 30,000 for Indian students attending the Virtual Showcase.
“Further highlighting the Education in Ireland scholarships, O’Neill says, “Under the initiative of the Government of Ireland International Education Scholarships 2021, 60 scholarships will be awarded to qualified candidates for one year of education at the Bachelor, Masters or PhD level. This is available to all international students, and on the Virtual Showcase Day on Saturday, 27 February, further details can be clarified.
The Education in Ireland Virtual Showcase is an event specifically for students in South Asia. It includes 20 of the top higher education institutions in Ireland offering globally recognised UG and PG programmes in Business, Science, Engineering, and Humanities. Officers will also speak and participate in the event from the Irish Visa Office in New Delhi.
“We are glad to announce the second Virtual Showcase of Education in Ireland,” said Barry O’Driscoll, Regional Manager, India & South Asia for Education in Ireland. These courses prove to be an ideal stage for providing students with ongoing real-time meetings, live Q&A sessions, audio & video chats with institutional faculty & experts, in addition to helping students increase engagement in a more viable way. This virtual showcase will have experts who can offer direction concerning different parts of an institution application to benefit participants.
Some 3,000 Indian students have recently travelled to Ireland to hire their students, many of whom are eager to explore Ireland’s following career opportunities. “O’Driscoll added, talking about the showcase, “Ireland has a long history of welcoming international students and has become one of the top destinations for Indian undergraduate and postgraduate students in recent years. Ireland’s careful and cautious approach to COVID-19 has shown how Irish institutions have prioritised students’ physical and mental health while ensuring the highest education standards.
Participants can also attend detailed seminars & information sessions on studying in Ireland at the upcoming event, talk to college representatives & agents, get advice from official representatives of the Irish government, learn about scholarships, explain the visa process, and ask questions. It is ideal for Indian students to talk directly to Irel’s admissions & academic staff from Ireland’s top institutions.
