Who Is a Hypocrite Student?
A hypocrite is any person who says one thing to you and may even promise but does precisely the opposite. Hypocrites are typical in every setting example in church settings claiming to be saved when they are not. The bible brands them as “wolves” in sheep’s clothing. Honourable members of the clergy, who preach water and drink wine, are practical examples of who hypocrites are in our society.
What Does a Hypocrite Student Do?
Students living abroad become hypocrites the moment they damp their studies for other things. A student finds himself or herself engaging in work for money rather than studying. Some also become disoriented when they encounter a very different culture and tradition of the people living abroad. In their effort to adjust to the new environment, they find themselves ceasing studies for other things.
Many find themselves doing drugs and entertainment just to fit with the life of their peers abroad and integrate with their newfound friends. These change of status, usually come with consequences because it goes against their visa requirements.
Even after damping studies and engaging in illegalities, hypocrite students still display their student visas claiming to be one until it expires, after which they find themselves without any documentation to support their stay in that particular country.
Where Does a Hypocrite Student Live Abroad?
After damping studies and becoming an illegal worker, some of these hypocrite students find themselves at risk of being deported. Most of them resort to staying in slum areas for fear of being deported. The majority also marries abroad and raises families intending to gain citizenship based on their spouses being citizens of that particular country.
In most cases, they share rooms or apartments with other likeminded individuals engaged in illegal work. Others seek accommodation with citizens in need of some little cash but with some bed space within their residence.
When Do Hypocrite Students Come to Their Senses?
Most of these students come to their senses when they are caught on the wrong side of the law. This is the time the authorities conduct serious investigations concerning them only to find out that their visa expired a long time ago and all through they have been residing in the country illegally.
In this case, they find themselves charged with violating visa requirements and being in the country illegally. Some find themselves arrested for a very long time and then deported to their home country empty-handed.
Worse still, they come back with nothing in the form of academic documents to show that they have done anything and thus find it difficult to find a well-paying job back home.
It takes quite a lot of money preparing to study abroad for those without a scholarship of any kind. Self-sponsored students to foreign countries are required to foot all their bills relating to accommodation, food besides school fees, an amount that runs into millions and millions of shillings.
All monies paid initially while joining these universities abroad are just lost, which is a massive loss to the family; friends and other people who participated through contributions to enable the dreams of the hypocrite to come true.
Why Do They Become Hypocrites?
Get a quick, productive attitude and lack of patients are some of the reasons that land prospective students into hypocrisy. Others could not even cope with the academic pressure for the programs they are undertaking on-campus abroad.
After failing their studies, they resort to loitering and finding something to keep them busy as long as their visa has not expired. Cultural differences and the urge to fit with society abroad also cause many students to fall out of their studies.
Lack of sponsorship and money for upkeep and accommodation, also cause some student to lead a hypocritical life abroad. Love life and revelry distract some students from their core objectives of studying and find themselves discontinued by the university senate hence becoming hypocrites.
How Do Students Become Hypocrites?
Students become hypocrites immediately; they cease to be students due to any of the reasons discussed above. Most of the time, they join with other likeminded students or people who are already out of school to engage in illegalities.
They relocate to stay with these likeminded people, who will introduce them to the techniques of surviving abroad out of the eye of the authorities. In the process, they try as much as possible to be out of public limelight and law enforcement urgencies for a very long time. These may mean even doing odd jobs illegally because they do not have work permits.
Living in a foreign country, peddling lies all the time to survive, is also a matter that affects a person psychologically. No one wants to lead such a life of lying about everything all the time to avoid being deported to your home country.
It affects self-esteem and makes a person unproductive in everything he does. A hypocrite is a liar and therefore is not at peace with himself and other people. In an environment where truth is required, such a person will always be on fright and exhibit anti-social behaviour.
Conclusion
A student labelled “hypocrite” and living abroad for that matter, is a typical hustler trying every means possible to survive. At the same time, they are incredibly insecure due to their non –compliance with the government regulations regarding living and working in a foreign country.
The long arm of the law finally catches up with them somehow, after which they suffer detention or deportation. Why should a person suffer abroad when there is peace at home? It is even much better to obey and bow to the wisdom of the old men and women who came up with the saying that, “East or West, home is the best.”
