Life has ups and downs in relationships, friendships, and general happenings that can impact what we are thinking about ourselves and other people. Maybe you are just wondering whether you are not ready to spark up something new or have mixed feelings about the relationship you are in. In this article, we will look at the pros and cons of a relationship.

Pros of Relationship

Pros of relationship are as under.

1) Sexual activity

Sex is one of the main reasons why people want to be in a relationship. The relationship can be draining and unhealthy when couples are going through some challenges.

It gives the relationship couple emotional fulfilment and a way to connect. It also then plays a significant role in keeping them together.

There also came a time in our lives when we become adults, and all we think about is sex. This may be caused by a part of our humanity trying to reproduce to prevent extinction. So it’s something we don’t even plan to do, and it’s our part of brain chemistry that way.

2) Companionship:

Another important reason why people want to be in a relationship is the benefit of companionship. I mean, who wants to stay alone?

Everyone doesn’t need to be satisfied by just having a pet dog, cat, or lion in the house, for that matter. Sometimes we wish we have someone with a home to connect with, communicate with and cuddle with and share our time with.

3) Financial security:

Not everyone is born. Many rich people have to work to survive and thrive.  Although beneficial at times, without deeper connection and genuine love, this also can be a disadvantage. Other than this is also one of the main reason to stay in the relationship.

People do it because they don’t see better options. This also contributes to pro as it makes our life easier.

4) Reduce Depression and anxiety:

Believe it or not, many people suffer from anxiety and depression, and one of the main reasons for this is loneliness.

It can also be that they don’t receive the love that we all humans crave for. Sometimes all we want to be is accepted and appreciated, and one of the most excellent solutions to this is to be in a relationship. Moreover, this type of love and understanding can’t be present in friendship.

We may have best friends or BFFs who spend fantastic time with us but put us in consideration they also want to experience other things in life.

5) Provides personal assistance:

Another advantage of being in a relationship is that you want to enter into a relationship with a personal assistant. But on the other hand, if you have assistance, you can ask for a favour.

This is especially important when you have children and multiple tasks to manage and look after. This also brings the highest level of anxiety and stress. So if you are going to get a partner, get functional and have the willingness to help you accomplish things in life.

Cons of relationship:

Now let’s switch to the cons of the relationship.

As we have already covered pros, but some can also destroy health and happiness. So we want to make things clear here, and our goal is to be going for something that will make us complete and happy.

1) Relatively more minor freedom:

Being in a relationship can sometimes bring what you can’t just do you want. So having a relationship means having a cooperative partner. You now have the person to

We look after things into consideration when making decisions. It might not be easier if you can decide to fly out of the country without getting your partner getting mad at you, and this is what I meant by not free as when you were.

2) Transgressing boundaries and disagreements:

To be in a relationship means making decisions, sharing opinions, and so forth. Because you and your partner may think differently, it is not hard to imagine that there will be disagreements, and it is part of every relationship and is inevitable.

However, this is not overall a bad thing, and sometimes your partner’s opinion may be better than yours. If you listen to your partner, it may save you a bunch of trouble.

But the bad news is that not all partners in every relationship are wise and mistake-free, so it is still one of the cons. These disagreements are just the tip of the iceberg, and they can turn into big fights, which depends on you and the partner you choose.

4) Time limit and worrisome:

Another vital con of being in a relationship is that you don’t have a day to yourself, and time for the things you want might be limited. This means that you have to watch the clock, and this can be a stressful experience. It also does not matter if you are doing something for your business or simply passing your friends’ time.

But if you are spending time with your partner, your partner will make you feel like leaving what you are doing and tell you to go and wash dishes. Mow the lemon, or take her to the doctor and so on. So, if you are in a relationship, you probably will not mind it, and of course, you are doing it for someone you love and your family.

Conclusion

If you choose someone good with you, it will become pros, but life will become miserable if not. The above listed are the most cited pros and cons of a relationship.
