How to Study More in Less Time?

You are here: Home / Blog / How to Study More in Less Time?

June 8, 2019 //  by Amit Kumar

There are many students who study the whole day and a whole year to get good marks. Why mug up your course to get grades? Is it really important to study a lot for getting marks?

No, learning is a gift given to us by God. It should be done with your interest and complete concentration. Learning done with interest can do wonders in your life. Learning is an art; it requires you to be efficient and effective. Everyone can study more in less time with organized material and interest.

Table of Contents

  • 1. Collect your resources at one place
  • 2. Make points of your topics
  • 3. Take regular breaks but avoid taking long breaks
  • 4. Eat healthily and take good relaxing sleep
  • 5. Take your own tests
  • Final Words

1. Collect your resources at one place

Create a list of books, worksheets, summaries, and content you require to study and collect them in one place. This will do 50% of work for you. These resources are very important to give you overviews of what are you going to study. Read your syllabus and the content in it, going through the syllabus once will make you more confident and you can start studying now.

2. Make points of your topics

Start reading and make points of each and everything which looks important to you. Making points will make it easier to revise in the end and by writing points, you will memorize what you have written. Your points should be in your own language; this makes it easy for you to learn and will give an impression in front of the teacher who’s going to check your copies.

3. Take regular breaks but avoid taking long breaks

Taking breaks in between your studies is a very crucial part of studies only. One cannot go on reading and learning continuously, taking breaks will relax your stressed brain and in that time you will regain your energy to again start your studies will full concentration.

4. Eat healthily and take good relaxing sleep

A healthy body is a temple of knowledge and power, eating and healthy and relaxing will make you more efficient and confident in your task. One should take a sleep of 6-7 hours, eat fruits, vegetables and drink shakes and juices. Meditate and give time to yourself. Avoid taking any caffeine or junk food, these things make your brain and mind more tired.

5. Take your own tests

Nobody knows you better than yourself, you know where you stand and what you can achieve, and this will help you in your task, believe in yourself and don’t go for the impossible. Set your limit as per your caliber, don’t underestimate yourself or don’t over judge yourself.

Final Words

Learning is a continuous process; everyone has their own caliber and interests. Studying more in less time should be done in emergency situations. Otherwise, one should go slow and steady and understand the concepts and logic. Study only when you have your mind cool and calm. This will give your brain more strength and the things you will read will be saved on your memory for a lifetime.

If you’re studying a lesson, go through the all key points first, start your reading in a topic wise manner and then collect all the information in your brain, this will strengthen your knowledge on the lesson.
