· A certificate of special qualification for university studies (Nachweis der besonderen Universitätsreife). A student must prove that he or she is eligible to pursue university studies in the field chosen by them.
4. Check for Entrance Examinations
Some universities of Austria have entrance examinations oral/written or both that are held six months before the term commences.
5. Deadlines for Application
Austrian universities are specific about deadlines, and you must know when to submit your application:
Non-EU/EEA Students must submit their applications by September 1 for the winter semester and by February 1 for the summer semester.

6. Enrolment Procedure and Payment of Fees
Once you are accepted by the university, you will have to submit your original documents, pay the fees and get your student’s ID. The fees for private universities could be anywhere between €6000 and €11,000 for a year. Public universities charge about €700 for a year.
