How to Make a Study Schedule in Class 12th

You are here: Home / Blog / How to Make a Study Schedule in Class 12th

May 26, 2021 //  by Amit Kumar

No doubt that class 12 is the most crucial period of every student’s life. It comes with a lot of pressure, many sleepless nights, continuous study sessions, and early morning revisions and so much more.

Class 12th is known as the significant crossroads where students decide to settle on significant choices on their future careers and profession. Sometimes even students who want to quality competitive tests like  NEET, JEE, BITSAT, and so forth begin with the preparation for the assessments from class 12th.

However, whatever the circumstance is, it is undoubtedly important that one needs to pass their 12th with a good score because it is the turning point of your career so you can pursue your fantasies of anything you desire to become in your life.

So with this much pressure, students many times get confused about how to manage their time and be consistent towards their studies since the beginning.

Here we are to help you with preparing the best and ideal study schedule to properly manage your time and study regularly but before that lets first discuss the importance of the timetable in your studies:

Table of Contents

  • Importance of study schedule:
  • Study schedule:
    • 1.Early morning study sessions
    • 2. Make a proper plan
    • 3. Customize as per your preference
    • 4. Be consistent
    • 5. Consider all subjects
    • 6. Breaks
    • 7. Take proper sleep

Importance of study schedule:

  • The timetable helps you in remembering all your obligations and makes you fulfill them at the proper time. in case you have a bad memory you can look into your pre-planned schedule and work accordingly.
  • The schedule helps you in being organized all the time. you will have fixed hours for everything like your exercise, study, work, housework, playing, etc. In this way, you will be organized and know what to do next, and will meet your obligations on time.
  • The timetable helps you in making realistic goals or targets for your study sessions. You can plan which chapter or lesson you will be covering in your next study session.
  • A proper schedule will leave no chances for chaos or confusion. You will have everything already planned and this will help in clearing your mind.
  • Following a proper study schedule right from the beginning of your class will make you consistent with your studies and you won’t have to pressure during your exams about covering big and time-consuming lessons.

Study schedule:

Following are some of the things you need to consider while making your study schedule as per your preferences and obligations to make it effective:

1.Early morning study sessions

Always make sure to set your atleast one study session early in the morning.

It is believed that studying early morning helps the mind to work faster and it stores the information more effectively and for a longer period than other times of the day. In the morning your body and mind usually feel positive and that further helps in concentrating better.

However, many students prefer studying late at night but it is highly recommended not to compromise on your sleep and instead get up early in the morning and study

2. Make a proper plan

When making your study schedule, then you not only have to assign fixed hours for your study sessions but also have to plan what you are going to study in these study sessions.

You can write down which concepts or lessons from your syllabus are more important and can begin from there so that it will help you in scoring good marks later in your exams.

3. Customize as per your preference

You can have at least two study sessions of your day in your study schedule and the duration of your study sessions can be anything as per your preference ut atleast 2 or 3 hours each session is recommended.

Also, which subject you are going to study in your every session has to be decided at your convenience. You can customize your schedule according to your preferences for instance maybe you would wanna give more time to practical subjects than theory.

4. Be consistent

Making a study schedule is not enough, the big deal is that you also have to stick to it. You gotta make your timetable in such a way that you give at least 4- 5 hours of your day to your study regularly.

Being consistent in your study is very important so you have to make sure that you do not miss any of your study sessions noted in your timetable.

5. Consider all subjects

As said above, that you are very much allowed to customize your timetable as per your preferences. You can give as much time as you want to each subject according to your convenience but you also have to make sure that no subject is left out.

Maybe you can give less time to theory subjects as a practical subject needs more time to practice but you can’t ignore any subject just because you think it is easy. If it is easy you can study it for less time but not completely avoid it.

6. Breaks

No timetable is complete without breaks. Studying effectively doesn’t mean that you study non-stop without sparing yourself some time.

Students in class 12th are at the age of exploration. At their ages, students love to explore new things and live the best experience of their lives so we are not going to stop you from doing that and make you only focus on study.

Just as much as the study is important, exploration is also equally important in a student’s life. Every student has to learn a new thing every day.

But taking a break doesn’t mean that you spend your whole day laying in your bed doing nothing or just scrolling your social media. Nah that is not going to make you productive so make sure that you use your breaks for something productive and useful.

7. Take proper sleep

Your body and mind after going through such a hectic day require proper rest for at least 8 hours so you better give it to them.

If you don’t focus on your health and sleep then you won’t be able to wake up healthier tomorrow and begin with your studies. So if you want yourself to get going, you need to allot some time out of your time table to your health.

You can do some exercise or yoga, get some fresh air, go for a walk, or anything that makes your feel good.
