How Are Some Australian Universities Ripping-Off International Students?

You are here: Home / News / How Are Some Australian Universities Ripping-Off International Students?

September 6, 2019 //  by Amit Kumar

Australian universities have been one of the places where the highest amount of diversity was visible among students. A person entering into the class could see faces belonging to different races, representing different cultures and traditions all keen to learn something from there. But situations are no more of this sort in the universities of Australia anymore.

There is a humongous number of international students who every year take the decision of joining the top universities present in Australia. Among these international students, there is the highest number of Chinese students, followed by Indian students, and recently Nepali students are also seen keen to join Australian universities quite a lot.

But sadly, over time, all the study quality and job prospects are gradually decreasing. Students are facing a lot of struggles in terms of completing their education efficiently. There are no standard English speaking facilities in the study course, and for this, there are many students who travel to study, taking translators with them.

The international student panel who plans to get trained from the universities of Australia plays a quintessential role behind the enhancement of the education system in the country.

Due to such discrepancies taking place in the study programs, Australia will be facing a huge decline in the number of international students very soon. This is not going to be very fruitful for the country as well as for the education system present and working there.

Australian universities have been treating their international student panel as nothing less than a “cash box.” They have become their prime source of procuring money from. The awareness among the international students are spreading about the scams that these universities are presenting in disguise of their educational programs, and soon there will be a humongous decline in the number of international students as well.

International students who go to Australia for studying are mostly persuaded for attending a study program conducted by random colleges in Australia who ties up with the well-known universities present in the country.

This study program is meant for preparing an international student for getting enrolled in the educational program of a well-known University of Australia. These study programs are nothing but a huge scam.

They promise that 95% of students who plan to get enrolled in their program will get admission in Australian universities for sure, but that is not how the situation works.

These programs procure a humongous amount of money from them by making false promises. Unfortunately, quite a lot of international students fall into this trap and spend an unnecessary amount of money for no good.

The non-English speaking students when admitted in the study curriculum of these universities not only makes their quality of education degraded due to the lack of understanding what is being taught in the class but also hampers the education of domestic students.

This is because unknowingly they become entangled with these international students and take the load of helping them out in their academics and make them pass. Hence this whole situation that is existing is hampering the entire educational system of the country.
