- A student seeking for Master’s and doctoral are eligible for the scholarship,
- Both National and International students are eligible for this award,
- Student have Experienced in international affairs,
- The student must complete the Research topic that seeks to address social problems or needs.
- Must have high potential for future leadership in international Affairs; environmental protection; fine arts; and/or, political economy

Master’s Level Scholarship:
- the scholarship amount is up to $10,000
- York Graduate Fellowship amount is $10,000 (domestic rate)
- The tuition Support amount is $5592 (amount varies)
Doctoral Level Scholarship:
- The scholarship amount is up to $20,000
- York Graduate Fellowship amount is $5403 (domestic rate)
- The tuition Support amount is $5592 (amount varies)
How to Apply for the Scholarship
For applying to these scholarships, candidates are needed to follow these steps:
Step 1: Apply for Admission
The student may just apply for the program at the graduate level. It is not possible to apply for a specific scholarship. FGS will only consider your scholarship application as long as you meet the minimum requirements and meet the deadline.
Step 2: Submit Required Documents
- Curriculum vitae of the student
- The research topic that seeks to address social problems or needs (one page)
- Statement of strengths and weaknesses
- List of experience(s) indicating potential future leadership in international affairs
- Transcripts supplied by the graduate program from the Admissions file
- Three academic letters of recommendation is a must (supplied by the graduate program from the Admissions file)
- If the Admissions file contains only two letters of recommendation please indicate within the letter of nomination from the Program, and,
- Letter of nomination must be submitted (supplied by graduate program director)
Entry Requirements
- Minimum “B” grade point average over the last two years of study.
- The first language is English
- Full-time study at an accredited university in a country
- You must have graduated from an established post-secondary institution with an honorary degree.
- You must have a study permit & visa.
Visa Requirements
Along with a visa, candidates must also apply for a study permit visa and study permit can be obtained after consulting the nearest Canadian Embassy and should be applied for at the earliest to avoid last-minute complications.

- Proof of Acceptance from the University.
- Proof of Identity (a valid passport and two recent passport-size photos).
- Proof of Financial Proof
