You are here: Home / News / Canadian Immigration: Processing fees Increase for PR by April 30

April 13, 2020 //  by Amit Kumar

Canadian Government came up with a new provision for providing citizenship. Whereas they have increased the number of fees. The people who wish to be a citizen of Canada need to follow the new rules as given by the Canadian Government.

This fee includes the operational, service delivery, and processing charges of a residential citizen.

    • However, 50% have increased the following :
  • Refugees, Immigration and Citizenship of Canada
  • The main objective is proposed by the Immigration as well as by the Refugee.

However, 50% have increased the following :

  • For the economic class people, it will increase from $1050 to $1575.
  • The principal applicants of the non-economic class will increase from $550 to $825.
  • Spousal fees from economic class will go from $550 to $825.
  • Children’s fee from the economic class will go from $ 150 to $ 225.

Refugees, Immigration and Citizenship of Canada

IRCC says that the residence fee of Canada has not increased since 2002. So this fee will now have some changes from the year 2022. It has also announced that Canada will imply this new rule from April 30, 2020.

Moreover, the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration gave this recommendation. Whereby, with this recommendation, there will be slight amendments in the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulation Act.

The main objective is proposed by the Immigration as well as by the Refugee.

After two years of this rule, there will again be a rise of two per cent in the immigration fee. If you are willing to apply for the Immigration in Canada, then you must get in touch with Visvas Avenue for the Immigration. These visa experts at Visvas Avenue have years of experience and proficiency.

Things will be easy for those people who are born in Canada and have at least one parent from Canada. Moreover, if there is a case of adoption, then one parent must be from Canada.

You can take multiple citizenships in Canada between January 1, 1947, and February 14, 1977. Whereas on February 15, 1977, the restrictions got imposed over the numerous citizenship cases.

Well now, as per the new guidelines of the Canadian Government, this newly described amount of fee should be taken as a serious note. This is because it is a matter of nationality.

This new program is to help newcomers who want to settle in Canada. IRCC (Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada) also grants citizenship documents to Canadian people and promotes multiculturalism.

Citizenship is the basic requirement of every individual because it is essential for your own identity. To get citizenship in any particular country, we need to fulfil some criteria. The necessary elements which are required to obtain citizenship are like documents or parents’ background etc.

However, with the change of this new fee system, everyone might agree to one common thought. That means the Government had done this thing with a clear perspective. This perspective is behind the idea of Immigrants, Refugees, and every person who wants to be a citizen of Canada.

So after the enforcement of this new rule, everyone should follow all the required regulations which are prescribed by the Canadian Government.
