In a program which is informed by the scholars that they’ve seen a number of student’s poor performances and dependence on mobile phone apps to translate the lecture notes. The students enrolled in postgraduate degree programs in IT are unable to run a computer or even a USB drive.
Federal authorities have given universities a greater duty to streamline the student visa system. The international students also make sure that their English speaking skills are matched to their standards.
Students are directed to satisfy their respective universities criteria. They just have to focus on universities instead of having to directly provide the Education branch with evidence.
Four Corner has found that some of the universities are admitting those international students who do not even fall on their English standards.
Universities are now also permitting the students from Nepal and India on the basis of “Medium of instruction” (MOI) letters which give evidence that they have studied in English medium previously.
Visa’s authorization in ‘no time’
Andrew Durston, a member of the immigration department, informed that graduates from well-respected universities are easily granted visas now. Mr Durston works as a private representative at Probitas Quad who assists in verifying the students’ applications.
He said that while applying for a visa, they don’t have to attach financial capacity documents or English capability test outcomes.

Foreigners bring Billions for them!
Admitting global students has become a source of good income for these universities. Also, they led to an increase in the country’s economy to $34 billion, labelling Australia the third largest country to facilitate this export industry.
Four Corners has received emails from universities that label English waivers to those members who facilitate the entrance of international students.
One of the emails from the University of Tasmania says that as a part of our closing mile efforts to encourage acceptances for July 2018. The university can be waiving the English circumstance with the intention to help the students but to satisfy their English conditions.
The email then elaborates that students can show their previous experiences in English work in their documents. They can also show two mixed English tests where one is not able to get the admission in a bid to get an English rejection.
Another email from Southern Cross University said that we’re glad to tell that SCU is now presenting IELTS waiver for his or her Lismore and Gold Coast Campuses.

Today, None of the universities can revert from the truth!
The president, Ravi Lochan, of Australian Education Representatives in India, has told Four Corners that the universities have been warned about rejecting the English language standards. He said that we informed the universities in August that this tradition will have troublesome effects later. Few students are exploiting this method, he said.
He also said that they have come to Australia through a university which had decrease assessments. Lower GTE (Genuine Temporary Entrant) checked that did not demand an English Test, and have managed to come right here on a visa. In the latest years, we have had college students with terrible English, arriving in Australia.
Universities Australia claims to have an efficient system. The chairman of Universities Australia says that the rate at which foreign students pass is equal to the rate at which domestic students do. He also said that they have clearly set some boundaries of their admission criteria. The government is equally held responsible for whom they are awarding their visas.

The department of home affairs says that to maintain the integrity of the system, visas are granted to the deserving students. They keep a full check on their enrolled student’s language skills.
The vice-chancellor of the University of Tasmania said that they do not abandon the English standards for the students. They have a wide range of other lines at which they accept the student.
These aspects include their previous work experience, their medium of instruction and the outcomes of English language tests.
