Australia now ASEAN – Flickerfest 2020 Short Film Competition

Filmmaking is an opportunity to live many lifetimes.

Do you have a passion for film making? Then, here is a lucky chance to show your talent to the world. Submit a short film of not more than 35 minutes for the short film competition.

In partnership with Australia now and Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Flickerfest announces the inaugural Flickerfest 2020 Australia now ASEAN Short Film Competition for the talented and outstanding filmmakers.

Eligibility Criteria

In order to apply for the opportunity, go through the following given criteria:

• Individuals, Film institutes & schools with multiple entries are invited to apply for the contest.
• The contest is free for the filmmakers.
• Only permanent citizens and residents of ASEAN countries applicants can participate.

Participants Requirement

• All shorts must be less than 35 minutes in length.
• All ASEAN productions screened at Flickerfest 2020 must have been completed within two years of the entry closing date.
• All films must be in have English subtitles or English.
• All selected films must be available to screen on H.264 or ProRes file.

Benefits

• All selected films will screen at the Flickerfest Film Festival at Bondi Pavilion, Bondi Beach in January 2020.
• The top 3 finalists will win a trip to Australia to attend the official screening and awards ceremony in Sydney, with airfares, accommodation, travel expenses and networking opportunities with film industry professionals in Australia, included.
